The objective of this work is to analyze in the light of the results of two field studies the supply and demand in water to Canaan.El desorden urbanístico en el área metropolitana de Puerto Príncipe (AMPP), llego a empeorarse hace 5 anos atrás. En efecto, el suministro tanto cualitativo como cuanti¬tativo a las familias se complicó después del terremoto del 12 de enero 2010. Desde aquel siniestro, es un calvario para las familias que viven en los asentamientos infor¬males y áreas suburbanas conseguir agua tanto potable como para saneamiento. El asentamiento de Canaán es el ejemplo más evidente de esta situación. Este sitio urba¬nizado lleva más de 200 000 habitantes que todavía no dispone de un sistema adecua¬do de abastecimiento de agua y de saneamiento. ¿Cómo los habitantes de este barrio se organizan para satisfacer sus necesidades de agua? El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar, a la luz de los resultados de dos estudios de campo, la oferta y la demanda de agua en Canaán.Le phénomène d'urbanisation sauvage, qui se répand à travers la région Métropolitaine de Port-au-Prince (RMPP), aggrave une situation déjà difficile, celle de l’approvisionnement qualitatif et quantitatif en eau des ménages vivant dans les quartiers précaires et les zones périurbaines. Canaan, une des conséquences immédiates du séisme du 12 janvier 2010, est un établissement humain à caractère précaire de plus de 200 000 habitants qui ne dispose pas encore de système adéquat d’approvisionnement en eau et d’assainissement. Comment les habitants de cet établissement humain s’organisent-ils pour satisfaire leurs besoins en eau. L’objectif de ce travail est d’analyser à la lumière des résultats de deux enquêtes de terrain l’offre et la demande en eau à Canaan

Lamunkhinsky Evens: Population and Settlement in 20<sup>th</sup> - 21<sup>st</sup> Centuries
No full textThe historical dynamics of the population and changes in settlement of one of the local groups of Yakutia Evens - lamunkhintsy - is considered. The author emphasizes that the territory of residence of this group of the Evens is one of the few areas of settlement of Yakutia Evens, where the traditional culture and native language is still preserved. It is reported that currently the boundary of the settlement of this ethnic group is limited by the administrative border of the municipality “Lamynkhinsky national nasleg” of Kobyaysky District of Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The novelty of the study is in determining the number of the Even population in the target group on the basis of previously unclaimed primary sources, census of the population of Yakutia and documents of the regional archives. Features of settlement of this group of the Evens are characterized according to the census of the population in 1926-1927 and 1939 due to the lack of information on the number of lamynkhinsky Evens for this period in Russian historiography. The causes of fluctuations in population and changes of the territory occupied by the local group of the Evens in the 20th - early 21st century are identified. The article presents the results of the project No. 17-11-14003 supported by the Russian Humanitarian Scientific Fund

DE L'INFORMALITÉ À LA GESTION ALTERNATIVE D'UNE VILLE SOUTENABLE : LE CAS DE CANAAN
No full textInternational audienceLa gestion de la ville obéit classiquement à une logique d'administration publique. Elle s'avère un exercice complexe, la ville étant le produit d'une multiplicité d'acteurs aux intérêts divergents. Dans les pays du Sud économique confrontés à une croissance urbaine galopante, la gestion de l'espace citadin représente un défi considérable pour les politiques urbaines qui ont montré leurs limites dans divers pays. Haïti présente un développement urbain non encadré par les autorités publiques, de caractère informel et désorganisé. Le séisme de 2010 a clairement révélé cette faiblesse étatique en termes de gestion et aménagement urbains. En 2010 en effet, le laisser-faire de l'Etat donna naissance à Canaan, aujourd'hui vaste bidonville de plus de 200 000 habitants livrés à eux-mêmes. Ce désengagement étatique incita la population à se structurer en associations pour gérer l'organisation spatiale et les besoins des habitants en termes de services urbains. A travers l'étude du cas de Canaan, cet article a pour objectif de montrer comment une communauté organise son cadre de vie dans un contexte de défaillance étatique, de questionner les mécanismes classiques de gestion urbaine et de voir les possibilités d'associer une approche alternative de gestion à la démarche de développement « soutenable » de la ville
