The significance of yardangs and ventifacted rock outcrops in the reconstruction of changes in the late Quaternary wind regime in the western desert of Egypt [L'importance des yardangs et des affleurements de roches modelées par le vent dans la reconstitution des changements du régime des vents au Quaternaire supérieur dans le désert libyque, Egypte]
The orientation of elongated yardangs in playas, supported by the direction of the abrasion of rock outcrops, suggests that the prevailing surface winds in northern Egypt were westerly during the pre-Holocene phase with its and cold climate, in an area where only the winter winds are westerly at present. In southern Egypt, m Dakhla and Kharga, no similar change in the wind regime has been detected. Donner Joakim, Embabi Nabil Sayed. SemEval-2020 Task 7: Assessing Humor in Edited News Headlines
This is the task dataset for SemEval-2020 Task 7: Assessing Humor in Edited News Headlines.
The task’s dataset contains news headlines in which short edits were applied to make them funny, and the funniness of these edited headlines was rated using crowdsourcing. This task includes two subtasks, the first of which is to estimate the funniness of headlines on a humor scale in the interval 0-3. The second subtask is to predict, for a pair of edited versions of the same original headline, which is the funnier version.

Solutional Landforms of Gabal Al-Qaraha, the Oasis of Al-Hasa, Saudi Arabia
Jabal Al-Qarah is one of the small outlier hills at the Oasis of Al-Hasa, lying at about lOkm ENE of Al-Hafuf Town. The solutional forms of Al-Qarah hill discussed in this paper are as follows : 1. A calcareous duricrust which covers the top and some of the slopes of the hill.
2. Rock Pillars which are long columns of white lime-stone.
3. Huge crevasses which are wide erosional openings along vertical joints.
4. Narrow, sinuous caves inside the hill.
5. Pedestal rocks with mushroom-like shape.
Evidences collected from the field suggest that these characteristic solutional forms of Jabal Al-Qarah were developed under a variety of climates by the process of solution, and that their development was controlled by high rock solubility, horizontal beds of varying lithologies, and pronounced vertical joints
