The study carried out aimed to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of perspective, and then focus on the qualitative analysis of students’ perceptions of the strengths and weaknesses of using ChatGPT in the university context. It took place within a broader process initiated within the Docimology workshop developed at the University of Palermo ‒ course of studies in Pedagogical Sciences - in the academic year 2023/2024 with 160 students, in which the aim was to verify whether targeted teaching actions, built within the theoretical framework of formative assessment, could increase students’ levels of awareness, sensitizing them to the possible risks of erosion of critical thinking and verification of the accuracy of the sources consulted. The qualitative thematic analysis, conducted at the end of the educational intervention, reveals the need to promote a critical and conscious use of ChatGPT, supported by docimological and metacognitive skills

Neuroscientific findings over the past 20 years acknowledge the close interconnection and simultaneity of the functioning of cognitive processes and body control systems. In this view, the body is not only a passive vehicle for cognitive functions, but an actor that has shaped complex cognitive abilities such as language and writing and, as a result, should be attentively addressed by pedagogical and evaluative practice with reference to the teaching‐learning mechanisms of writing processes. The text also explores, as well, some theories that argue that language and motor skills have co‐evolved, influencing each other through mechanisms of embodied cognition. In this study we analyze, from the perspective of neuro‐evolutionary findings on brain functioning, the connection between visual, motor and language systems involved in the writing process with the aim of abstracting a framework of criteria and indicators that can guide the student and teacher in the process of acquiring the skill of reading‐writing. The same can serve as an orientation compass for the construction of evaluative tools that can reflect research on the learning writing brain

QToM.

The theory of mind (ToM), which refers to the ability to attribute mental states such as beliefs, intentions, desires, emotions, and knowledge to oneself and others (Baron-Cohen, 1985), has sparked renewed interest in current pedagogical debate (Wang, 2015; Allen, 2013). Recent research has highlighted that high levels of ToM among students are associated with increased effectiveness in learning processes and student-teacher interactions (Bak, 2015; Valle, 2016; Hoffman, 2016). This contribution outlines the process of constructing and validating a questionnaire, involving 166 students, enrolled in courses such as Experimental Pedagogy, Research Methodology in Education and Design, documentation and assessment in early childhood at the University of Palermo. The questionnaire aims to measure ToM abilities among university students. The current version comprises 33 items organized into four domains related to ToM: cooperation, mentalization, empathy, and self-regulation

This contrib ution aims to in vestigate the relation- ship between educational processes and political ac- tion, taking as its starting point some of the neuro- scientific discoveries that have contributed most to legitimizing the affirmation of empathy and emo- tion as true pedagogical categories . It also reflects on how such evidence, now the heritage of neuro- didactic research, can also trigger political reflection on the centrality assumed by emotions in the con- struction of a democratic coexistence among people and an ethos of active citizenship

This paper offers a neurodidactic reinterpretation of the ADVP method (Activation du Développement Vocationnel et Personnel), developed in the 1970s at Université Laval in Québec by Pelletier, Noiseux, and Bujold (1974). Grounded in robust theoretical foundations — including Super’s theory of career development (1957), Tiedeman and O’Hara’s decision-making theory (1963), and Guilford and Hoepfner’s model of intelligence (1971) — the ADVP method structures the process of vocational decision-making into four developmental tasks: exploration, crystallization, specification, and implementation. Each task is associated with a specific mode of thinking: creative, categorical, evaluative, and implicative (Guilford, 2003). This study seeks to investigate, through the lens of embodied cognition and in light of relevant neuroscientific literature, the neural correlates and brain networks underlying the modes of thinking identified by the ADVP model. The aim is to highlight the connection between the mind — understood as the various cognitive models that underpin the consolidation of career choices — and the brain, conceived as the ensemble of neural mechanisms and connectionist processes that enable the deployment of these vocational development schemas

Sfide e strategie inclusive

The developmental journey of writing skills in students’ school contexts has often been described by neuroeducational and pedagogical studies as characterized by heterogeneous challenges. Writing represents a complex process that goes beyond graphic transcription, con- figuring itself as an expression of thought and a means of communication involving diverse cognitive and metacognitive processes (Filippello et al., 2009). Its development depends on the simultaneous acquisition of multiple skills (problem solving, working memory, selective atten- tion and planning). Therefore, the difficulties reported by students in learning the mechanisms of writing can be traced to at least two causes: the non-exclusively linguistic nature of cogni- tive processes, ideation and organization of texts, and the fact that-as indicated by the neural recycling hypothesis-the ability to write, along with the ability to read, are relatively recent mental functions from an evolutionary point of view (Dehaene, 2007). In order to synchronously en- hance the different cognitive components involved in writing, a number of instructional models based on cooperative learning (Johnson, 2003), including the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition Model (CIRC), have proved effective. This paper aims to investigate, from an inclusive perspective, how CIRC can foster the development of writing skills by modulating its processes
