G. Ford Edwards, here seen when he was employed with Scott and Edwards Furniture Company of 220 Main Street in Bradenton. He lived with his wife Betty Ann at 103 East Central Street. He later worked with the family's Edwards Funeral Home at 433 Eleventh Avenue in Palmetto. From the 1940s to the 1960s, it was run by J. Leon and Dorothy Edwards, across from Palmetto's Baptist Church
