Walsh of signs
In this article, the author establishes new relations between three of the most famous texts about crimes in Latin America: Brevísima relación de la destrucción de las Indias (Las Casas, 1552), Vida del Chacho (Hernández, 1855) y Operación masacre (Walsh, 1957). The question that encourages it is to investigate the validity of these texts and where it resides. The author plots a series of continuities, that form a political reading that indicates the intense link that joins the destination of Las Casas, Hernández y Walsh, and invites to an inherent reading of the texts, as if they keep something that transcends their time.Facultad de Periodismo y Comunicación Socia

Peak-to-average ratio (PAR) reduction by Walsh-code selection for IS-95 and CDMA2000 systems
Peak-to-average ratio (PAR) of a signal is an important parameter for a linear amplifier because it determines the backoff factor needed to be applied to the amplifier in order to avoid clipping and hence spectral regrowth. The author analyses and compares the PAR of the downlink signal for the IS-95 and the CDMA2000 single carrier systems. It is found that PAR of the signal depends on the Walsh code assignment. PAR control by Walsh code selection is proposed and its effectiveness is discussed.</p

Walsh appropriations: footnote to a research process
Research in social sciences combines established patterns of production with others that have artisanal features. Following the latter, the author proposes in this article a paths that reflects on a process of communication / education research relating elements of the work of Rodolfo Walsh. This is organized in three moments: in first it is presents a fictionalized antecedent, in second it is discussed the practice of writing and in the third it is investigated the construction of an intermediate category that describes the context of educational institutions for young people and adults.Facultad de Periodismo y Comunicación Socia
Rodolfo Walsh and the <i>Semanario de la CGT de los Argentinos</i>
In this article, the author proposes a brief review of an immeasurable experience: notes on the creation and direction of the Semanario de la CGT de los Argentinos by Rodolfo Walsh. The paper postulates the possibility of thinking of Walsh in his political integrality, as an evaluation of a practice where journalism, literature, research and militancy are articulated; recognize the contexts, the logic and the tensions between cultures and perspectives that come into play in this experience; and the implications of the challenge of producing popular media discourses to dispute the sense of the emancipation, the organizational modes and the role of the political-social movements.Facultad de Periodismo y Comunicación Socia
Operation Walsh. Writing at the Service of Building a Better World
The author points in this article that local hegemonic media and the traditional academic world choose to highlight Rodolfo Walsh as a journalist and as a militant in an attempt to minimize his cultural impact as a writer. However, the cleavage that involved Operation masacre (1957), as well as the excellence of the story «Esa mujer» (1966), demonstrates his central place in the literature and the possibility of opening towards new scriptural plots established by him. The work highlights and values the aspiration of Walsh to produce the best possible story with the conviction that the perfection of that story would collaborate in the construction of the best possible world.Facultad de Periodismo y Comunicación Socia
