SUL NOME E LA PATRIA DELL'EPIGRAMMISTA ERUCIO: UNA REVISIONE DELLA QUESTIONE

    No full text
AP VI 96,2 e il verso virgiliano Ecl. 7,4 This work examines the profile of Ἐρύκιος, the author of some epigrams preserved in the Greek Anthology. The discussion will focus especially on the author’s home country, because his name is attached to two different ethnics, Θεσσαλός e Κυζικηνός, and it is based on epigraphic sources and on some hints contained in his poetic works. The discussion will entail as well some general observations about the adscriptions in the Palatine Anthology. Then, the paper will take into account the origin of the name (probably the Greek transcription of the Latin name Erucius). Accordingly, it will proceed by considering any connections between the author and the Roman or the Italian context of his time. For this purpose, new attention will be given to two questions arising from two of his poems: that is, the identity of Partenius addressed in Eryc. AP VII 377, which some scholars think to be the elegiac poet from Nicea, active in Rome in the Augustan age; and, finally, the intertextual links between Eryc. AP VI 96,2 and the Vergilian line Ecl. 7,4

In this modern era, the world has witnessed a phenomenal explosion in the growth of startups in various countries. Startups have become the main drivers of innovation and economic growth. Startup businesses are currently experiencing significant and rapid growth, especially in Indonesia. Currently, there are many new startup companies, so innovation is needed to compete with other competitors. Startup development requires creative ideas to attract investors. In addition to innovative ideas, product quality must also be a priority to attract consumer interest. Therefore, this study aims to examine the impact of incremental innovation on startups from the perspective of users in Batam City. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of incremental innovation on the Gojek application. The author uses the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares method, then the researcher applies the Extended Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM) from the perspective of Gojek application users to analyze the effect of incremental innovation efforts on the Gojek application. The author collects data by distributing questionnaires to people who have made transactions with Gojek. A total of 264 samples have been collected, and the results show that confirmation has a positive effect on the perception of enjoyment, satisfaction, and customer engagement. The results show that the perception of enjoyment and satisfaction has a positive impact on the user's intention to continue using the Gojek application. However, customer engagement does not significantly affect the user's intention to continue using the Gojek application

This article analyses the sources of Pilypas Ruigys’ Litauisch-Deutsches und Deutsch-Litauisches Lexicon [...] (Königsberg, 1747). Ruigys says in the introduction to his dictionary that he “legte zum Grunde des deutschen Registers das Lexicon Weismanni” (“arranged the Weismann dictionary on the basis of the German Register”), but he does not specify Weismann’s first name, nor the date of the dictionary he used. In the history of Lithuanian lexicography the Church historian Christian Eberhard Weismann (1677–1741) is held to be the author of the dictionary Lexicon bipartitum, latino-germanicum et germanico-latinum, however the place and date of publication of the dictionary are not consistently quoted. It has been established, using knowledge of the dates and bibliographical details of dictionaries published by people named Weismann, that the dictionary Ruigys refers to is not the one by Christian Eberhard Weismann, but the eight edition (published in 1725) of a dictionary by his father, German theologian and pedagogue Ehrenreich (or Erich, Latin Eryc) Weismann (1641–1717). Judging from the chronology of publication of various parts of the dictionary, it is thought that Ruigys used the eighth edition or perhaps an earlier one (published in 1715), not the Lexicon bipartitum (published 1741). Ruigys adopted from Weismann for the first time in Lithuanian lexicography the classification of bilingual dictionaries into analytic and synthetic. This article reviews the sources of Weismann’s dictionary’s lexicon and their influence on the corpus of Ruigys’ dictionary and the structure of the explanatory articles for the entries

Reikšminiai žodžiai: Weismann, Ehrenreich; Leksikografija; Autorystė; Registro šaltinis; Žodžio lizdasIn the foreword to the dictionary, Ruigys himself mentioned only the name of the author of the source, indicating neither the exact title nor the year of the publication. In the Lithuanian bibliography it is thought that Ruigys used the 1741 dictionary by Weismann. In his recent study Vincentas Drotvinas claims that Ruigys could have referred to the 1725 dictionary or one of the earlier editions by Weismann. The article explores the history of the editions of the Lexicon bipartitum by the German lexicographer and educator ehrenreich Weisman (abbr. germ. Erich, lat. Eryc), presents some facts from the biography and activities of the author. In order to find out which editions of the dictionary by Weismann Ruigys could have used, all the editions are described and their chronological sequence is provided. The first edition is a Latin-German dictionary, thus it could not have been the source for the German-Lithuanian part of the dictionary by Ruigys. Starting with the second edition, the dictionary has a German-Latin part. It is possible to distinguish three periods in editing the dictionary by Weismann: the early (WL and WŽ2), the middle (WŽ3–WŽ6) and the late (WŽ7). WŽ8–WŽ10 editions were published posthumously. WŽ8 is an edited version of WŽ7, done by some other person(s). WŽ9 and WŽ10 do not differ from WŽ8 in the number of pages. A more detailed analysis of the foreword and preface to the dictionary is provided with the aim of discussing the purpose, sources and type of lexis of the dictionary. The main sources were earlier German dictionaries and works by Roman authors. The second German-Latin part was updated with terms relevant in those days. The article also presents a comparative analysis of the German-Latin editions (WŽvl2 [1685], WŽvl3 [1692], WŽvl7 [1715], WŽvl8 [1725], WŽvl9 [1732], WŽvl10 [1741]) of the Lexicon bipartitum by Ehrenreich Weismann and the German-Lithuanian part (RŽvl) of the dictionary by Pilypas Ruigys. When studying the differences of WŽvl2, WŽvl3, WŽvl7 and WŽvl8, the following ways of adding lexis and editing were identified: (1) register words and word collocations were added, (2) additional word meanings and homonyms were distinguished and new Latin equivalents were added, (3) more derivatives, compounds and usage examples were included in the families of words. A comparison of the registers of WŽvl8, WŽvl9 and WŽvl10, revealed that WŽvl9 is a reissued version of WŽvl8, and WŽvl10 is a reissued version of WŽvl9. In WŽvl9 and WŽvl10 a small number of WŽvl8 words and collocations were omitted, out of which 12 words and 5 collocations are found in the register of RŽvl. Also, in RŽvl and WŽvl8 there are 3 phrases, partially corrected or printed with the original errors in the later editions. The comparative analysis of WŽ editions and RŽvl showed that, in order to make a German-Lithuanian register, Ruigys adopted german words and collocations from WŽvl8 (1725)
