Mass media communication strategies during rehabilitation and reconstruction after disasters in Aceh

No full text
The role of media in disaster management is enormous. This is due to th e community's dependence on information relating to major disasters so that what is informed by the media is true and accurate news. To encourage the community participation, it requires appropriate mass media to assist the process of channeling informatio n from the organizers of BPBA to the community and disaster victims. The use of media to seize the influence of society, in recent centuries is a must, viewing the effectiveness of messages through the means. The problem is how to choose the right and chea p media, and reach the target area so that the messages we want to convey are effective to achieve the goals. The response of local mass media in Aceh Province to the news of disaster mitigation has been very positive, either in printed, electronic and oth er social media. It is just that the media coverage of the disaster mitigation program initiated by BPBA has received less attention from the media, mainly due to the low attractiveness of the news, the low quality of the program package, and often neglect ed by the BPBA itself when there is a socialization to the regions. Tasikmalaya District is one of the West Java regions with good agribusiness potentials in food crops and ruminant livestock. The potentials must be utilized properly to have an impact on regional economic improvements. This research aimed to design a dissemination model for mobile money application in rural communities, especially in Tasikmalaya District, in three sub-districts: Singaparna, Rajapolah, and Ciawi, using a structured approach through Soft System Methodology (SSM). The model must be built in a system, through a four-layered model, with components for each layer: a) Layer-1 consists of values, infrastructure (network, smartphone, merchant), customer capabilities, & regulations; b) Layer-2 consists of institutional support (local government and related agencies); c) Feature, communities, and communication media; d) Sweetener program. In the implementation process, layer-1\u27s readiness is a priority that must be met first, followed by layer-2, layer-3, and layer-4\u27s readiness. Keywords: dissemination model, soft system methodology, mobile money, Tasikmalay

Determining Components That Are Strongly Correlated To Rural Community Interest And Willing In Using And Utilizing Mobile Money In Tasikmalaya District

The development of the application of mobile money in rural communities is a strategic step to increase the financial literacy of rural communities, thus supporting the development of agribusiness in rural areas. In its development, it must be supported by a structured disimenation design and adapted to the conditions and capabilities of rural communities. This research was conducted in Tasikmalaya District in three sub-districts, namely: Singaparna, Rajapolah, and Ciawi, using secondary data and primary data through questionnaires to 207 respondents. The dissemination design model built refers to the Theory of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) (Davis 1989), the four-factor dissemination model (Cummings and Teng 2003), and the knowledge dissemination model (Vito Albino et al. 1998), which consists of 6 components, namely: Activity, Media, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Behavioural Intention and Usage Behaviour, by using descriptive data analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). These six components are proven to have a strong correlation with the intention and willing behaviour of rural communities in using and utilizing mobile money. The indicators that have a strong correlation with each component are: infrastructure, regulations, social media, electronic media, product value, product discounts, capability and public awareness. The process of disseminating the application of mobile money technology in rural communities is correlated with infrastructure readiness, community capacity, regulations, appropriate product value, attractive prices and periodically delivering updated information to the public through social media. Sorghum is a local food ingredient, and as it grows, it has the potential to reduce reliance on imported food. From the roots to the fruit, sorghum crops can be processed into a variety of food products, crafts, and medicines. Currently, sorghum flour is only available through imports. Supply Chain Analytics, Value Chain Management, Big Data, Supply Chain Performance, and Decision Support Systems are the five defined components of a sustainable supply chain. In the future, this research covered Decision Support Systems to Improve Unequal Profits Among Farmers, Supply Chain Management Strategies, and Supply Chain Performance to Increase Productivity. Several journals were collected by the author using the Publish or Perish 8 software, including Scopus 200 journals and databases Science Direct 145, and aside from that, there is knowledge of book literature as well as knowledge of other sciences. Then, using the VOS viewer software, look for novelty to see the novelty of previously unstudied relationships. This study\u27s novelties include methodology and substance, such as: 1. production technology for managing the design and construction of a sustainable supply chain model for the agroindustry of sorghum; 2. Choosing sorghum and estimating demand for sorghum and sorghum products using technology in the supply chain. 3. Develop a partnership performance model for the sorghum cultivation business and identify sorghum production supplies in the supply chain. supply, 4. Create a distribution model and design a transportation network for sorghum products in the supply chain. Keywords: inventory forecasting, sorghum supply chain, transportation, PRISM

Two levels model for the optimal integration of freight transportation between intra- and inter-islands in the Indonesian archipelago

No full text
The Indonesian Archipelago has numerous commodities, which are transported between the islands by ship. The distribution of goods in Indonesia represents the movement of commodities intra-islands, and inter-islands, which indicates two levels of activity. Accordingly, we propose a model with two levels of freight transport. The first level shows the growth in commodities, which is used to forecast their intra-island flow. The second level is based on a generating-attracting model of the port-to-port system, which is implemented to show the inter-island flow of commodities. The model uses Tanjung Perak Port as the port of loading and unloading commodities in its hinterland area. The result indicates that the growth of commodities and containers around Indonesia will increase over the next ten years. Hence, this research suggests that the flow of the commodities between ports and from port-to-hinterland needs to be managed, based on the demands of each commodity.
