Synthesis and Structure Determination of the Hierarchical Meso-Microporous Zeolite ITQ-43

    No full text
The formation of mesopores in microporous zeolites is generally performed by postsynthesis acid, basic, and steam treatments. The hierarchical pore systems thus formed allow better adsorption, diffusion, and reactivity of these materials. By combining organic and inorganic structure-directing agents and high-throughput methodologies, we were able to synthesize a zeolite with a hierarchical system of micropores and mesopores, with channel openings delimited by 28 tetrahedral atoms. Its complex crystalline structure was solved with the use of automated diffraction tomography. A characterization of the Schur property through the disk algebra

    No full text
[EN] In this paper we give a new characterization of when a Banach space E has the Schur property in terms of the disk algebra. We prove that E has the Schur property if and only if A(D, E) = A(D,E-w). (C) 2016 Elsevier Inc. ACIDIC PROPERTIES OF TITANIUM-SILICALITES-1

    No full text
Different titanium silicalites-1(TS-1), synthesized following two different routes in the presence or in the absence of sodium in the precursor gel have been characterized by adsorption of ammonia. Adsorption calorimetric measurements of a basic probe(NH3) and an acidic probe(SO2) have shown that these solids were very acidic compared to a silicalite-1 sample. The presence of Na in the different samples decreases the number and the strength of the acid sites. The modification strongly depends on the synthesis procedure

Strongly continuous semigroups on some Fréchet spaces

    No full text
We prove that for a strongly continuous semigroup T on the Frechet space omega of all scalar sequences, its generator is a continuous linear operator A is an element of L(omega) and that, for all x is an element of omega and t >= 0, the series exp(tA)(x) = Sigma(infinity)(k=0) t(k)/k! A(k)(x) converges to T-t(x). This solves a problem posed by Conejero. Moreover, we improve recent results of Albanese, Bonet, and Ricker about semigroups on strict projective limits of Banach spaces. A Fabry--Pérot cavity for Compton polarimetry

    No full text
A new kind of Compton polarimeter using a resonant Fabry - Pérot cavity as a power buildup for the photon beam is proposed. A prototype of such a cavity is described, along with the results obtained in terms of source to be used in a Compton scattering polarimeter. © 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved
