Taxonomic results of the Bryotrop expedition to Zaire and Rwanda : 18., Calymperaceae
The first species list of the examined countries was published by Demaret (1940,1946) and the revision of the Syrrhopodon species of this area were made by Demaret and Leroy (1947). Further additional data were published on the basis of the collection of S. Lisowski (Orbán 1987). The tropical African species of the genera were revised by the Author (Orbán 1981) and later the key for the species was prepared by Orbán and Reese (1986). This key is suitable to identify practically all tropical African taxa, therefore I do not supply a key here for the 7 species collected in Central Africa. The world ranges of Syrrhopodon species was given by Reese (1987)
QUANTUM MECHANICAL APPROACH TO THE LASER-ASSISTED VACUUM DECAY
The quantum field theoretical problem of the vacuum decay into electron-positron pairs induced by external force fields is mapped onto the framework of a quantum mechanical scattering process. This mapping permits us to generalize the Hund conjecture, which relates the long-time pair creation rate for a static and spatially localized electric field to the transmission coefficient, to general space-time dependent forces that can induce multi-photon transitions. This leads to conceptual as well as computational simplifications as the vacuum\u27s decay rate can be obtained from the laser-assisted scattering of quantum mechanical wave packets. Using this mapping we find an analytical expression for the pair creation rate for the case where the laser\u27s polarization direction is perpendicular to the supercritical static force field. Stepping molecular motor amid Lévy white noise
We consider a model of a stepping molecular motor consisting of two connected heads. Directional motion of the stepper takes place along a one-dimensional track. Each head is subject to a periodic potential without spatial reflection symmetry. When the potential for one head is switched on, it is switched off for the other head. Additionally, the system is subject to the influence of symmetric, white Lévy noise that mimics the action of external random forcing. The stepper exhibits motion with a preferred direction which is examined by analyzing the median of the displacement of a midpoint between the positions of the two heads. We study the modified dynamics of the stepper by numerical simulations. We find flux reversals as noise parameters are changed. Speed and direction appear to very sensitively depend on characteristics of the noise

THE ROLE OF STRESS AND ITS IMPACT ON THE FORMATION OF OCCUPATIONAL BURNOUT

Abstract
The term "stress" is customarily used in connection with environmental pressures and adaptation to changing environmental conditions, but also in reference to the body's psychological and physiological response to them. In the understanding presented, adaptive demands are called stressors, their effects are called stress or stressful situations, and methods and techniques aimed at reducing these effects are called ways of coping with stress. Stress can also be understood as a "product" of inappropriate coping with the challenges of everyday life. The differentiation between stress as a process and stressor as a factor makes it easier to understand the issue and its impact on life and the development of mental illnesses.

Previous issue date: 2018-09-17The dissertation has as its theme the teaching of humanities and proposes a study of juridical formation with a view to hermeneutics as an overcoming of the dominant positivist paradigm of Law. The contribution of the humanistic disciplines to legal formation is outlined as a general objective, in order to emphasize the (im) dispensability of the humanistic component in the composition of the fundamental training axis. As specific objectives, it delineates: [a] circumscribe, in an epistemological context, the context of Brazilian legal education; [b] to examine the Curricular Guidelines and Pedagogical Projects of four courses of Law of Santa Maria / RS to identify the space destined to humanistic disciplines in legal formation; [c] analyze the syllabus, syllabus, syllabus, skills and competences and egress profile to understand the importance of humanistic disciplines in the formation of the future legal thinker; [d] confront the study of the documents with the epistemological and educational foundations, and; [and] lecture on the reflexes of a humanistic formation in the professional's work in the legal area and application of the law. It is a qualitative and quantitative paradigm, allying the quantitative (objectivity) and interpretative (subjectivity) paradigm in a hermeneutical approach, whose descriptive and exploratory strategy consists in investigating the influence of humanistic disciplines on legal education from the space assigned to them in the Pedagogical Project of Law course of Institutions of Higher Education of Santa Maria / RS. For this, it adopts: the Documentary Analysis due to the corpus of the research, composed of the Pedagogical Projects; Content Analysis, which supports the linguistic materiality present in the communication; and Discursive Analysis, with a focus on the lexicon, latent meanings and values of the humanities in legal formation, from the hermeneutic categories. The discussion starts from the change of the dominant positivist paradigm in the Law, which corresponds to what is put by the State in the description of social facts (objective social phenomenon), with hermeneutics as the conduit of the interpretation of Law under assumptions of analysis and understanding of discourse and the very subject to which it is inserted, in a game of signification and re-signification of knowledges, senses and values. The law, in the hermeneutic scope, metaphorically assumes a similarity to the game, as a ludic dimension (aesthetic), so it is constituted as the interpretive and decisive art whose meaning is in the proper movement of the game that evidences the humanization of the subject. Thus, the humanistic disciplines contribute to the critical-reflective formation of the jurist, allows an interdisciplinary look at the complexity of postmodern society, which affects transversally the integral legal formation promotes the broad (content and sense) interpretation of the juridical-social demand. This desirable path, however, has contours that denote positivist remnants, which does not mean, in depth, that the humanities in the professional formation of the jurist are not given ample attention.A dissertação tem como tema o ensino de humanidades e propõe um estudo da formação jurídica, tendo em vista a hermenêutica como possibilidade de superação do paradigma positivista dominante do Direito. Traça-se como objetivo geral a contribuição das disciplinas humanísticas para a formação jurídica, a fim de enfatizar a (im)prescindibilidade do componente humanístico na composição do eixo de formação fundamental. Como objetivos específicos, delimita-se: [a] circunscrever, em âmbito epistemológico, o contexto do ensino jurídico brasileiro; [b] examinar as Diretrizes Curriculares e Projetos Pedagógicos de quatro cursos de Direito de Santa Maria/RS para identificar o espaço destinado às disciplinas de cunho humanístico na formação jurídica; [c] analisar as ementas, programa de disciplina, conteúdos programáticos, habilidades e competências e perfil do egresso para compreender a importância das disciplinas humanísticas na formação do futuro pensador jurídico; [d] confrontar o estudo dos documentos com os fundamentos epistemológicos e educativos, e; [e] dissertar sobre os reflexos de uma formação humanística na atuação do profissional na área jurídica e aplicação do Direito. Configurada como um estudo quali/quantitativo, alia o paradigma quantitativo (objetividade) e interpretativo (subjetividade) em uma abordagem hermenêutica, cuja estratégia descritiva e exploratória consiste na investigação da influência das disciplinas humanísticas no ensino jurídico, a partir do espaço destinado a elas no Projeto Pedagógico do curso de Direito de Instituições de Ensino Superior de Santa Maria/RS. Para isso, adota-se: a Análise Documental em razão do corpus da pesquisa, composto pelos Projetos Pedagógicos; a Análise de Conteúdo, que sustenta a materialidade linguística presente na comunicação; e a Análise Discursiva, com enfoque no léxico, sentidos e valores latentes das humanidades na formação jurídica, a partir das categorias hermenêuticas. A discussão parte da mudança do paradigma positivista dominante no Direito, que corresponde ao que é posto pelo Estado na descrição dos fatos sociais (fenômeno social objetivo), com a hermenêutica como condutora da interpretação do Direito sob pressupostos de análise e compreensão do discurso e do próprio sujeito a que se insere, em um jogo de significação e ressignificação de saberes, sentidos e valores. O Direito, em âmbito hermenêutico, assume metaforicamente uma similaridade ao jogo, enquanto dimensão lúdica (estética), por isso se constitui como a arte interpretativa e decisória cujo sentido está no movimento próprio do jogo que evidencia a humanização do sujeito. Assim, as disciplinas humanísticas contribuem para a formação crítica-reflexiva do jurista, permite um olhar interdisciplinar para a complexidade da sociedade pós-moderna, que afeto transversalmente à formação jurídica integral promove a interpretação ampla (de conteúdo e sentido) da demanda jurídica-social. Este caminho desejável, todavia, tem contornos que denotam resquícios positivistas, o que não quer dizer, a fundo, que não seja dada atenção ampla às humanidades na formação profissional do jurista
Effect of the ΔPhe residue configuration on a didehydropeptides conformation: A combined CD and NMR study
Molecular Imprinting of Peptide Nucleic Acid (PNA) in an Electropolymerized CG-Rich Artificial Oligomer Analogue for Determination of Genetically Relevant Oligonucleotide
We devised and fabricated a chemosensor for selective determination of genetically relevant 5’ GCGGCGGC 3’ (G-guanine, C-cytosine) oligonucleotide. Toward that, we simultaneously synthesized electrochemically and deposited on a Pt electrode a sequence-defined octakis(2,2’-bithien-5-yl) polymerized film of a DNA hybridizing probe.1 For that purpose, we used both an approach of macromolecular imprinting in a polymer and a peptide nucleic acid (PNA) template of a programmable sequence. For transducing an oligonucleotide recognition event into the analytical signal, we applied electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy under stagnant-solution and flow-injection analysis (FIA) conditions, respectively. Using EIS, we determined the target oligonucleotide with the 200 pM limit of detection. With the EIS determined apparent impact factor, IF4.0, the chemosensor discriminated both two-nucleotide-mismatched oligonucleotides and Dulbecco Modified Eagle Medium sample interferences
Sex in Catholic Marriages: A Study and Theology
The subject of this essay has interested the writer for years. How can one relate the topics of God and of sexuality without being ashamed, accused of being a sensationalist, or accused of presenting perversions of God and of sex? My goals are to bring about a greater understanding of God and man through the study of the unifying and vital sexual act, as well as a more profound love for God and self. It is God who has created in us this tremendous human sexuality which is part of the whole personality.
The presentation of this study is primarily directed to those who believe in a Triune God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons united in one divine nature. The unity that essentially exists in God also participatively exists in man, in his desire for unity. Therefore, we need to develop and expound a more explicit theology of intimacy. I hope this will be a significant contribution
Elements of Michel Foucault’s Hermeneutics of the Subject in the Post-War Correspondence of Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz and Jerzy Lisowski
The article analyses the phenomena occurring in epistolary, namely the exchange of letters. The newly published correspondence of Jerzy Lisowski with Anna and Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz, during a very specific period, when, just after the war, the imposed socialist-realist regime was taking shape, will serve as an example. However, the practices connected with disciplining public order in Poland are not the subject of the article, but people with completely different aesthetic desires. Politics in this correspondence gives way to the plan of, for example, fascination with Romance studies and the achievements of Western culture, which not only united the authors of the epistolary dialogue, but also significantly shaped it for the rest of their lives. This is particularly important if one looks at the professions of both participants in the correspondence. The author of the article takes as a paradigm elements of Michel Foucault’s claims from the collection of lectures entitled Hermeneutics of the Subject from the College de France from the turn of 1981/1982. The correspondence is analysed in terms of claims related to the practices of the self, the exchange of letters between friends in the age of antiquity, and parrhesia. References to fragments of an elementary work on epistolography, namely Theory of a Letter [Teoria listu] by Stefania Skwarczyńska, are also an important element. One of the inspirations for writing the article was also New Theory of a Letter [Nowa teoria listu] by Anita Całek, who also proposes to look at the correspondence through the prism of the theorems of Foucault and Skwarczyńska. The aim of the article was to present not only the essential features of a letter in the context of the formation of interpersonal relations, but also the maturation of personality and to understand to what extent letters may become a testimony of rich autobiographical narratives
Pharmacokinetics of levofloxacin in non-lactating goats and evaluation of drug effects on resistance in coliform rectal flora
This study aimed to evaluate the pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) of levofloxacin in non-lactating goats. Using a randomized cross-over study design, each group of animals (n = 7) received 2 mg/kg of levofloxacin intravenously (IV) and subcutaneously (SC). Plasma concentrations of levofloxacin were quantified by High Performance Liquid Chromatography with fluorescence detector (HPLC-FL). Rectal swabs were collected prior and after the treatment to identify the main bacterial population and to evaluate in vitro antimicrobial susceptibility using minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) method. Mean values of terminal half-life for IV and SC groups were 4.56 and 5.14 h, respectively. After SC administration, the peak plasma concentration was achieved at 2 h, with a Cmax of 3681 ng/mL. Mean bioavailability was 92.12%. Bacteria isolation showed the presence of Escherichia coli (E. coli) that quickly becomes resistant to levofloxacin potentially rendering the drug ineffective. Results seem to suggest that levofloxacin is able to reach considerable plasma concentrations after both IV and SC administration, but it must be considered that both routes of administration can lead to a reversible selection of resistance in gastro-intestinal bacteria
