In particular, the interview focuses on public housing in Seattle. Epstein speaks about the Yesler Terrace project before going on to discuss the effect of World War II on public housing, particularly in regards to defense housing and in regards to the impact of black workers migrating from the South. Epstein addresses his time as the Northwest Regional Director for the Federal Housing Administration and shares his thoughts on the Civic Unity Committee.
