Impact of Human Activities on Red-crowned Crane Nest-sites Based on Voronoi Diagram
Based on the data investigated into Red-crowned Crane nest-sites in the Zhalong National Nature Reserve in 1996 and the period from 2003 to 2007, the characteristics of the spatial distribution of the nest-sites were analyzed, and the topological index (Voronoi Diagram Area) was calculated. The statistics showed that the spatial distribution of Red-crowned Crane nest-sites featured in the form of spatial clustering. The objects include the nest-sites, residential area, national highways and railways in the Zhalong National Nature Reserve in 2006, and then constructed the Voronoi diagrams to analyze their influence each other. The findings indicated that human activities made a great impact on the spatial distribution of nest-sites and played an important role in protecting the habitat of Red-crowned Crane. It constituted an effective tool that combined spatial data to describe and analyse interactions while providing support for decisions makers. Similarly, an objective quantitative analysis provided a rational basis for management decisions incorporating impact on species habitat

Mechanical Analysis of Secondary Lining of Super Shallow Buried Tunnel and Improvement of Construction Technology
Based on the actual situation of the secondary lining of the Hongxing Tunnel in Dalian Bay, this article focuses on the mechanical properties of the secondary lining of the ultra -shallow buried tunnel underpassing the existing highway, mainly using the Taishaji theory and the Beijing mining method for the calculation of load and moment, shear force, axial force, etc. And the construction control measures of the second lining of the tunnel under the condition of super shallow buried and concealed excavation were put forward. Studies have shown that the mechanical analysis and calculation of the secondary lining used in this project are in line with reality, and the selection of the construction technology of the secondary lining is reasonable, and it is worthy of popularization and use in similar projects

Internal Activation of Peptidyl Prolyl Thioesters in Native Chemical Ligation
Prolyl thioesters have shown significantly
lower reactivities in
native chemical ligation (NCL) in comparison to that of the alanyl
thioester. This report describes a mild and efficient internal activation
protocol of peptidyl prolyl thioesters in NCL without using any thiol-based
additives, where the introduction of a 4-mercaptan substituent on
the C-terminal proline significantly improves the reactivity of prolyl
thioesters via the formation of a bicyclic thiolactone intermediate.
The kinetic data indicate that the reaction rate is comparable to
that of the reported data of alanyl thioesters, and the mechanistic
studies suggest that the ligation of two peptide segments proceeds
through an NCL-like pathway instead of a direct aminolysis, which
ensures the chemoselectivity and compatibility of various amino acid
side chains. This 4-mercaptoprolyl thioester-based protocol also allows
an efficient one-pot ligation–desulfurization procedure. The
utility of this method has been further demonstrated in the synthesis
of a proline-rich region of Wilms tumor protein 1
Venture Capital, Ownership Concentration and Enterprise R&D Investment
AbstractWe empirically examine the relationship among venture capital (VC), ownership concentration and enterprise R&D investment. Drawing on the data of China's GEM from 2010 to 2014, we find that VC and enterprise R&D investment are significantly positively correlated while ownership concentration and enterprise R&D investment are significantly negatively correlated. Further research shows that in the VC-backed companies ownership concentration has no significant impact on R&D investment
