The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug was detected for the first time in Italian Central Alps in September 2014, in at Colico, province of Lecco (Northern Italy). Native to east Asia, and introduced in North America and Central Europe, it has a wide host range and an extremely high potential as an invasive pest of many fruit, horticultural and ornamentals crops. From the results of a citizen science type of survey, it emerged that H. halys is quite widely distributed in the Italian regions of Emilia Romagna, Lombardy, Liguria, Piemonte and Friuli: especially in lowlands and hilly areas of the plains and hills, but not on the Alps themselves

No full textLa specie aliena Halyomorpha halys viene segnalata per la prima volta in Spagna, a Girona, e in Sardegna (Italia), a Cagliari. In Europa fu rinvenuta inizialmente in Svizzera nel 2004; per l'Italia è nota fin dal 2012 dove è attualmente assai diffusa nelle regioni settentrionali e presenta segnalazioni sporadiche in alcune aree del centro. Nativa dell'Asia orientale, H. halys è molto polifaga e possiede un elevato potenziale invasivo come agente di danno di moltissime piante da frutto, ortive ed ornamentali. Inoltre è assai fastidiosa in ambito urbano per l'abitudine di svernare in massa entro gli edifici durante le stagioni fredde.First records in Spain and Sardinia of the alien species Halyomorpha halys (Stål, 1855), with notes on its distribution in Europe (Hemiptera, Pentatomidae). Abstract. The invasive alien Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Halyomorpha halys is reported for the first time in Spain, in Girona, and in Sardinia (Italy) in the town of Cagliari. In Europe this species was initially detected in 2004 in Switzerland. In Italy, where it is known since 2012, is currently widespread in Northern regions, with occasional records in central ones. Native to east Asia, H. halys has an extremely high potential as an invasive pest causing serious damage to many fruit, horticultural and ornamentals crops. Besides, it is a very annoying urban nuisance for the mass overwintering aggregations inside buildings.Primera cita para España y Cerdeña de la especie invasora Halyomorpha halys (Stål, 1855), con apuntes sobre su distribución en Europa (Hemiptera, Pentatomidae). Resumen. La chiche invasora Halyomorpha halys es señalada por primera vez en España, de Gerona y en Cerdeña (Italia), en Cagliari. En Europa esta especie fue detectada inicialmente en Suiza, en 2004. En Italia, donde es conocida desde 2012, está distribuida actualmente en las regiones septentrionales, con citas ocasionales en el centro. H. halys es nativa del este de Asia y tiene un extremadamente alto potencial como plaga invasora causante de serios daños a muchos cultivos frutales, hortícolas y ornamentales.
