This paper describes how collaborative functionality is being implemented as part of the DEBORA project to provide access to digitised Renaissance documents. Work practices of users of Renaissance documents are described and the collaborative features of the client software are outlined. Functionalities discussed include annotation, the creation of virtual books and the inclusion of user-supplied metadata

No full textNell’ambito della presente ricerca una piccola sezione del questionario è volta ad indagare la diffusione e l’uso delle terapie non convenzionali tra le madri che hanno partecipato allo studio.
Dagli Anni Settanta ad oggi, accanto alla medicina tradizionale, si è verificato lo sviluppo di diversi metodi di cura definiti alternativi, non convenzionali, proprio a sottolineare il loro distacco dalla medicina ‘ufficiale’.Queste medicine ‘altre’ si sono guadagnate nel tempo una propria dignità e, soprattutto un proprio spazio, fino al punto di creare una sorta di coesistenza con la medicina ufficiale, in ‘crisi’ anche a causa della ‘freddezza’ che molto spesso le viene imputata. L’accusa principale è che il paradigma della medicina occidentale orienta i medici a considerare la malattia prima ancora del malato, separando l’individuo dal suo conte-sto di vita e riducendo, in questo modo, l’umano al biologico (Ricciuti 2005). L’obiettivo di questa piccola parte del questionario era indagare l’uso delle medicine alternative e, in particolar modo, cercare di capire quanto fosse diffusa la pratica tra le madri dei bambini in età pediatrica e chi fossero queste donne, ipotizzando un profilo e, quindi, in seguito, una ipotetica motivazione che giustificasse l’uso di queste terapie

No full textSalah satu akomodasi utama yang terdapat di daerah tempat wisata dan kota besar, yang memiliki daya tarik untuk dikunjungi baik untuk urusan bisnis atau untuk berlibur adalah hotel. Tingkat Penghunian Kamar (TPK) hotel merupakan salah satu unsur utama pendapatan dibidang industri perhotelan. TPK adalah persentasi jumlah kamar yang terjual dari total jumlah kamar yang mampu terjual. Bisnis perhotelan mempunyai andil yang cukup besar terhadap penerimaan devisa negara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui model peramalan terbaik dengan menggunakan metode ARIMA Box-Jenkins dan Fungsi Transfer Single Input, untuk meramalkan TPK hotel berbintang di empat provinsi yang ada di Indonesia, yaitu Provinsi Sumatera Utara, Sumatera Barat, Kepulauan Riau dan Bali. Data yang digunakan adalah data bulanan mulai Januari 2008 sampai Oktober 2014. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ARIMA merupakan model terbaik untuk meramalkan TPK di Provinsi Sumatera Barat dan Bali, sedangkan model Fungsi Transfer memberikan hasil peramalan terbaik di Provinsi Sumatera Utara dan Kepulauan Riau.

One of the main accommodations in the tourism area and metropolism, that has interested to visit either for business or vacation is hotel. In hospitality industry, occupancy rates is a key aspect of hotel revenue management. Occupancy is percentage of the number of hotel rooms used compare to the total number of rooms available to use. The hospitality business has a big role in foreign exchange, particularly in the Regional Government. The purpose of this research is to find the best forecasting model by using Box-Jenkins ARIMA and Single Input Transfer Function method, to predict occupancy rate of hotel with star rating in four Provinces in Indonesia, they are North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau Islands and Bali Province. Data range was used monthly data from January 2008 to October 2014. The results of this research showed that ARIMA method is the best forecasting model to predict occupancy rate of hotel in West Sumatra and Bali Province, whereas Transfer Function method, give the best forecasting result in North Sumatra and Riau Islands Province
Lobbying for education in a two-sector model
No full textFirms specialized in two different sectors lobby to induce the government to subsidize the type of education complementary to their production. Lobbying is endogenous. We show that, if lobbying is not costly, both sectors will lobby in equilibrium and the education policy will induce the same skill composition that would be chosen by the social planner. However, if lobbying is costly and there is sufficient asymmetry between the sectors, only one sector will exert pressure on the policy-maker in the attempt to direct resources toward the type of education required by its production. Which sector will engage in lobbying depends on relative size, productivity, and price. We also provide some preliminary evidence that lobbying activity by firms may influence the production of skills needed by those firms. © 2013 John Wiley & Sons Ltd
