No full textPour aider les exploitants à tirer le meilleurs profits des ressources dont ils disposent, à "gérer" leur exploitation, la recherche et des organismes de vulgarisation développent actuellement un outil d'aide à la décision: "le conseil d'exploitation". Pour les organismes de crédit, le budget et les pratiques de gestion des ménages agricoles constituent bien souvent une "boite noire" dans laquelle on injecte du crédit et qui produit des "remboursements". L'analyse de ces rythmes peut être riche en enseignement pour les organismes de crédit. Elle permet de repérer les périodes pendant lesquelles existe un forte de demande de crédit et les meilleures périodes pour faire l'appel de fonds pour les remboursements ou de proposer aux exploitants d'épargner. Cette connaissance permet de mieux sécuriser les crédits. Elle permet aussi d'avoir une meilleure idée de la façon dont le projet, à l'origine de la demande de crédit, s'insère dans le budget du ménage. En étudiant avec les exploitants leurs pratiques de gestion financière, il doit être possible d'identifier des modes de gestion des stocks, de la trésorerie, de l'épargne et le recours au crédit de façon à tirer le meilleur parti des ressources monétaires et non monétaires (stocks agricoles, bétail...). C'est un des objectifs des travaux menés dans le cadre du programme "conseil d'exploitation" du PRASAC. La présente communication a pour objet : - d'analyser les rythmes caractérisant la gestion financière des exploitations agricoles et d'identifier les périodes de tension de trésorerie et les pratiques des agriculteurs pour réduire ces tensions; - d'analyser les rythmes des crédits proposés par les institutions de microfinance et les groupements paysans pour identifier les périodes d'engorgement en confrontant les calendriers de la demande et de l'offre; - et enfin de montrer en quoi le "conseil d'exploitation" peut aider les exploitants agricoles à mieux élaborer des projets faisant appel au crédit et les institutions de microfinance à mieux sélectionner les candidats et à minimiser les risque des prêts. Pour illustrer cette démarche on s'appuiera sur l'exemple d'un exploitant moyen du Nord Cameroun, et sur les éléments de son environnement
Fate and removal of pharmaceuticals and illicit drugs in conventional and membrane bioreactor wastewater treatment plants and by riverbank filtration
No full text26 pages, 3 tables, 3 figures.Pharmaceutically active compounds (PhACs) and drugs of abuse (DAs) are two important groups of emerging environmental contaminants that have raised an increasing interest in the scientific community. A number of studies revealed their presence in the environment. This is mainly due to the fact that some compounds are not efficiently removed during wastewater treatment processes, being able to reach surface and groundwater and subsequently, drinking waters. This paper reviews the data regarding the levels of pharmaceuticals and illicit drugs detected in wastewaters and gives an overview of their removal by conventional treatment technologies (applying activated sludge) as well as advanced treatments such as membrane bioreactor.
