Davis Memorial Carillon
The Davis Memorial Carillon at Alfred University is a traditional carillon of 47 bells. Thirty five bells were installed in 1937. In 1953, the carillon was enlarged to 43 bells by the Petit and Fritsen Bell Foundry (Aarle-Rixtel, NL). One of the original bells was replaced at this time because it was broken. In 1977, the carillon was enlarged to 47 bells by the Petit and Fritsen Bell Foundry. In 2006, the Meeks, Watson, and Company (Georgetown, Ohio, US) replaced the top 20 bells
