Chapter Ten 'Neoliberal Politics in a Devolved Scotland'
Chapter Ten, by Neil Davidson, therefore examines the extent to which devolved Scottish governments, particularly the present SNP administration, have been able to go beyond the boundaries of neoliberal orthodoxy. He argues that where this has occurred it is a function of the peculiarities of party competition in Holyrood, rather than representing a fundamental disavowal of the existing order. Finally, he suggests that a genuine alternative to neoliberalism will only emerge, in Scotland or elsewhere, on the basis of a politics which takes the interests of the working class as seriously as neoliberalism has those of the capitalist class

Education alignment
This essay reviews recent developments in embedding data
management and curation skills into information technology,
library and information science, and research-based
postgraduate courses in various national contexts. The essay
also investigates means of joining up formal education with
professional development training opportunities more
coherently. The potential for using professional internships as a
means of improving communication and understanding between
disciplines is also explored. A key aim of this essay is to identify
what level of complementarity is needed across various
disciplines to most effectively and efficiently support the entire
data curation lifecycle
Philander Doxtader Pension Records : D. M. Bryan & G. W. Davidson General Affidavit (c. 1891-1892)
This affidavit mainly discusses Louisa's financial struggles following the death of Philander, though the handwriting is difficult to decipher. (Note: This document is undated, but it was produced somewhere between 1891 or 1892. No records can be found on D. M. Bryan, but George W. Davidson is well documented. His birthdate of June 19, 1834, would make him 57 years old--the age he lists on this document--from June 19, 1891, to June 19, 1892. Furthermore, the document mentions Louisa's relocation to Richmond, which city directories indicate took place in 1891)

The long memory model of political support: some further results
This paper extends the results of Byers, Davidson and Peel (1997) on long memory in support for the Conservative and Labour Parties in the UK using longer samples and additional poll series. It finds continuing support for the ARFIMA(0,d,0) model though with somewhat smaller values of the long memory parameter. We find that the move to telephone polling in the mid-1990s has no apparent effect on the estimated value of d for either party. Finally, we find that we cannot reject the hypotheses that the parties share a common long memory parameter which we estimate at around 0.65
