Wiffle Ball- David Nelson Mullany
The idea for wiffle ball was born in Fairfield when David Nelson Mullany watched his son and a friend play a pick-up game with a perforated plastic golf ball and a broomstick. Neighborhood games led to too many broken windows so Mullany created a lighter plastic ball. The ball was so successful that the company only had one major marketing campaign in the 1960\u27s endorsed by New York Yankee Whitey Ford.
The Wiffle Ball Company is located in Shelton, CThttps://digitalcommons.sacredheart.edu/didyouknow/1005/thumbnail.jp
