Prescribing by mental health nurses: the UK perspective
No full textPURPOSE. This article aims to discuss the growth of mental health nurse (MHN) prescribing in the United Kingdom as an exemplar for readers to compare progress in their own countries and context. This study also aims to provide a historical overview of this process in the United Kingdom where MHNs prescribe safely and competently.
CONCLUSIONS. Finally, evidence has shown that MHNs with prescriptive authority are competent when prescribing when compared to psychiatrists.
PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS. Despite organizational barriers and educational concerns, MHN prescribing is becoming embedded in the healthcare context in the United Kingdo

anti-retro-viral therapy for people living with HIV; however, this population
for several reasons, only takes
traditional and complementary medicine or use it to complement their conventional
treatment in order to keep and improve their health, and among the popular
herbal remedies used by people living with HIV are <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">neem leaf extracts. So that, the objective of this study was to
evaluate the effect of aqueous and ethanolic <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">neem leaf extracts in human T lymphocytes. For the concentration of
1 µL of aqueous extract a cellular viability of 100% was observed, for the
concentration of 10 µL of the aqueous extract a massive proliferative effect
was observed of 417.89%, and for the concentration of 100 µL of aqueous extract
was observed a cellular viability of 26.39%. In the case of the ethanolic
extracts, they showed to be cytotoxic since the concentrations of 1 µL, 10 µL
and 100 µL reduced the cellular viability to 67.17%, 51.65% and 10.22%,
respectively. All the experiments were compared with the control. Due to the
fact that some vegetable polymeric proteins, known as lectins such as
concanavalin A and phytohaemagglutinin are polyclonal activators, also
considered as mitogens due to the fact that they encourage T lymphocytes to commence
cell division; we think the mitogenic effect-like that we observed in our
aqueous extract may be as a consequence of the presence of lectins in it.</span

No full textEl TERRITORI GES és un Projecte de Final de Carrera que tracta la conca hidrogràfica del riu Ges que va des de Vidrà fins a Torelló. La idea és millorar el règim hidrogràfic del riu i de la conca a través d'unes intervencions puntuals a diferents escales i repartides per tota la conca que millorin la infiltració del sòl. El PFC es materialitza en una prova pilot d'aquestes actuacions a la zona de l'antic balneari de la Font Santa, a Sant Pere de Torelló, generant unes basses de bany i una gran bassa de laminació que generarà un punt d'inèrcia d'aigua per protegir els nuclis urbans de les crescudes. Aquesta prova pilot s'engloba dintre una xarxa de preexistències de molins fariners a la vora del riu catalogades com a patrimoni arquitectònic. Es generarà un PARC FLUVIAL al voltant d'aquestes ruïnes que aproparà el visitant al riu i al tracte de la conca.El proyecto del Territori Ges, es un proyecto de Final de Carrera que trata la cuenca hidrográfica del río Ges que va desde Vidrà hasta Torelló. La idea es mejorar el régimen hidrográfico del río y de la cuenca a través de unas intervenciones puntuales a diferentes escalas repartidas por toda la cuenca que mejoren la infiltración del suelo. El PFC se materializa en una prueba piloto de estas actuaciones en la zona del antiguo balneario de la Font Santa, a Sant Pere de Torelló, generando unas balsas de baño y una gran balsa de laminación que generará un punto de inercia de agua para proteger los núcleos urbanos de las crecidas del río. Esta prueba piloto se engloba dentro de una red de preexistencias de molinos que hay al lado del río, catalogados como patrimonio arquitectónico. Se generará un parque fluvial alrededor de estas ruinas que acercará el visitante al río y al trato de la cuenca.The TERRITORI GES is a Final Degree Project that deals with the watershed of the Ges River that runs from Vidrà to Torelló. The idea is to improve the hydrographic regime of the river through specific interventions at different scales. distributed throughout the basin that improve soil infiltration.
