    This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College Archives staff Rich Schmidt with David Nemarnik and Tom Fitzpatrick of Alloro Vineyard. The interview took place at Alloro Vineyard on July 21, 2016. David Nemarnik is the owner and vineyard manager at Alloro Vineyard, where Tom Fitzpatrick is the winemaker. During the first portion of the interview, Nemarnik talks about his dream of owning a vineyard and the importance of being LIVE certified. In the second portion of the interview, Nemarnik discusses his journey to the wine industry and his winemaking philosophy. In the final section, Nemarnik and Fitzpatrick both talk about how the partnership was formed and the future for Alloro Vineyard

    David Nemarnik is photographed during an oral history interview at Alloro Vineyard in Sherwood, Oregon on July 21, 2016. Nemarnik and colleague Tom Fitzpatrick were interviewed by Linfield College Archives staff Rich Schmidt. David Nemarnik is the owner and vineyard manager at Alloro Vineyard (located on Laurel Ridge in the Chehalem Mountains), where Tom Fitzpatrick is the winemaker and general manager. Nemarnik planted the first vines for Alloro (Italian for \u27laurel\u27) in 1999. The Mediterranean-inspired winery and tasting room were completed in 2003.
