The GIS shapefiles were exported using ArcGIS Quick Import Tool from the Data Interoperability Toolbox. The coverage files was imported into a file geodatabase then exported to a .shp file for long-term use without proprietary software. An example output of the final GIS file is include as a pdf, in addition, a scan of the original 1968 map (held in the UMN Borchert Map Library) is included as a pdf. Metadata was extracted as an xml file. Finally, all associated coverage files and original map scans were zipped into one file for download and reuse.High-quality GIS land use maps for the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area for 1968 that were developed from paper maps (no GIS version existed previously).MnDOT Report 2003-37Minnesota Department of TransportationContract #: (c) 81655 (wo) 8If They Come, Will You Build It? David Chen at PT Ijutsu

David Chen moved from Ijutsu Philippines to Indonesia more than three years ago to turn around an ailing pharmaceutical organization, PT Ijutsu Indonesia (PTII). As President and Director, he played a crucial role in the successful transformation of the company, particularly in setting and meeting annual growth targets. The most pressing problem Chen faced at the time was internal resistance to change. Facing the problem meant focusing on the company’s marketing and selling organization and practices, such as heavy price discounting, and on professionalizing the team. He also addressed organizational and human resource development issues as part of a review of the PTII strategy. Encouraged by his success, the head office required him to meet even more ambitious targets in the future. </jats:p

Also includes a PDF illustrating the data.Illustrates the development of the highway network in the Twin Cities metropolitan region. GIS maps of the state highway network were created for 1920-1995 (these were not previously digitized). These were used to build Markov Chain Cellular Automata models of land use change and network growth.MnDOT Report 2003-37Minnesota Department of TransportationContract #: (c) 81655 (wo) 8If They Come, Will You Build It?
