No full textIn dit afstudeerrapport is gekeken naar nieuwe logistieke systemen voor het containertransport tussen Rotterdam en de inland-Rijn-terminals. Bij deze systemen wordt gebruik gemaakt van duwboten en duwbakken. Er worden in principe twee soorten duwboten onderscheiden, namelijk transportduwboten en dstributieduwboten. Langs de Rijn worden parkings geplaatst, dit zijn uitwisselpunten van duwbakken. Op de parking van Rotterdam zal een transportduwboot een aantal duwbakken vastkoppelen. De transportduwboot vaart vervolgens richting Duitsland. Aangekomen op een parking, worden de duwbakken losgekoppeld, die dit distributiegebied als bestemming hebben. De transportduwboot vaart door naar de volgende parking, waar ook een aantal duwbakken worden losgekoppeld. Aangekomen bij de laatste parking, zal de transportduwboot richting Rotterdam gaan varen. Tijdens de dal vaart zal de transportduwboot duwbakken vastkoppelen, indien deze op de parkings liggen. De transportduwboten zorgen puur voor het transport van duwbakken tussen de parking van Rotterdam en de overige parkings. De distributieduwboten koppelen duwbakken vast op de parking, waarna de distributieduwboten de containers gaan uitventen in het betreffende distributiegebied. De duwbakken worden in deze distributiegebieden geladen met containers met bestemming Rotterdam. De distributieduwboten koppelen de duwbakken los op de parking, zodat de duwbakken kunnen worden opgepikt door transportduwboten. In het Rotterdamse havengebied varen een aantal havenduwboten, die de duwbakken oppakken van de parking van Rotterdam en vervolgens langs de terminals in het Rotterdamse havengebied vaart, waar de containers met bestemming Rotterdam worden gelost en de containers met herkomst Rotterdam worden geladen in de duwbakken. Bij het laden van de duwbakken krijgt de duwbak een distributiegebied als bestemming, zodat in een duwbak alleen containers voor één distributiegebied is geladen. Er zijn vier verschillende transportvarianten onderzocht. Voor dit onderzoek is een computersimulatieprogramma geschreven in PROSIM. Het resultaat van dit onderzoek is onder andere dat systeem 1 het meest optimaal functioneert. No full textDeel I: Gegeven is het Oostelijk Banjir Kanaal zoals beschreven in "Explanatory note on the design of the Eastern Banjir Cahal", (P.B.J.R., 1974). Gevraagd wordt: Door berekening de sedimentatie in het Oostelijk Banjir Kanaal te schatten naar grootte en naar plaats. Uitgaande van deze schatting moet gezocht worden naar de meest economische onderhoudsmethode voor het kanaal. De verwachting is, dat de grote hoeveelheden fijn sediment die door de riviertjes in het kanaal gebracht zullen worden problemen gaan opleveren. Daarom moet getracht worden om, uitgaande van bestaande rekenprogramma's, te komen tot een beschrijving van het gedrag van het fijnere sediment, dat niet momentaan op verandering van de hydraulische omstandigheden reageert. Deel II ontbreekt. Deel III: Het rapport is het Hydrologisch Deelontwerp dat "Het verkrijgen van een aantal hoogwatergolven en hun herhalingstijden waarmee één moessonperiode geschematiseerd beschreven kan worden'. Om dit doel te bereiken zijn er een aantal oplossingsmethoden die gevolgd kunnen worden. Echter uit oogpunt van bewerkelijkheid of door ontbreken van de nodige gegevens was het niet mogel ijk de bestaande methoden toe te passen met uitzondering van de methode van het looptijdsbeginsel die in beperkte mate bruikbaar is gebleken. Om deze redenen is er een andere methode omtwikkeld, die gebruik maakt van de aanwezige (sumiere) gegevens. Het uitwerken van deze methode beslaat een groot gedeelte van dit deel van het verslag. This study seeks to analyse his style of writing in all his texts. The aspects of his style under stylistic techniques and criticism will serve as a foundation theory that will link the study to the analysis of definitions and referencing under imagery and its aspects; including humour, satire, idioms, proverbs, literary techniques, and figures of speech. Mtuze is noted as one of the most prolific writers due to his ingenuity in language skills, especially in isiXhosa. Mtuze is one of the best humoristic writers; hence he is popular due to applying humour in the prose works he wrote. This study is divided into seven chapters, and the theory which is used for this study is also scrutinised in order to get a sense of what the author intended to deliver through his texts

Effect of large graphene particle size on structure, optical property and photocatalytic activity of graphene-titanate nanotube composites
No full textAvailable online 19 October 2021In this work we investigate the crystal transformation and optical properties of hydrothermal titania nanotube (TNT) when combining with large size of exfoliated graphene achieved by electrochemical process (EC-Gr). The TNT monoclinic structure has been changed to TiO2 anatase phase when TNT was grown in the presence of graphene dispersion. The effect of graphene on the evolution of TNT crystal could be understood by the interaction of carbon elements in graphene and Ti4+ ions in the titania structure. Due to the carrier separation which reduced recombination rate of excited photoelectrons and holes revealed by photoluminescence characterizations, the visible light photocatalytic activity in degradation of methylene blue in solution of the composite was enhanced. No full textThis study uses empirical juridical method where research with a view to legal provisions in practice. This study concerns the basic factors underlying the onset of any breach of the principle of utmost good faith in the insurance agreement as well as how the settlement and legal consequences of the breach of the principle of utmost good faith in the contract of insurance. The author uses the qualitative data analysis to make an assessment of data that authors get on the field with the help of literatures related research. Based on the research that earned the author the P.T. Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Padang Branch that the factors underlying the violation of the principle of utmost good faith can be caused by internal factors (the insurer) is an insurance agent and risk selectors (underwriter) and external factors i.e. insured parties. Violation of the dishonest agents caused the insurer gives a description of the products offered to the prospective insured because only the pursuit of targets and commissions, vice versa the insured provides false information when responding to a question from the insurer. Completion of the offence principle of utmost good faith this is done first by deliberation, if agreement was not reached will proceed through court proceedings. As a result of legal violations of principle of utmost good faith is the insurance agreement void or in other words the insurer has no duty to indemnify if the claims of the insured object
