Get PDFThe present research focuses on the study of the population dynamics of the Belluno province, from the Early to the Final Bronze Age, as well as the area of the Treviso province. The study analyzes the role that this region played in the broader territorial and cultural dynamics of north-eastern Italy and in the relationship dynamics between different cultural entities in the time span from the beginning of the II to the beginning of the I millennia b. C.
The elaboration of a chronological framework of the studied facies through the typo-chronological analysis of the material culture has been of primary importance, as well as the development of a GIS system in order to organize the territorial data and integrate the geographical data with the chronological and cultural ones

No full textL'articolo mette in evidenza l'ampia diacronia di una sito d'altura frequentato con discontinuità dall'antica età del bronzo alle primissime fasi dell'età del ferro. Si evidenzia l'elemento inaspettato per il territorio bellunese, prima, della presenza di una frequestazione ascrivibile alla cultura palafitticola di Polada in associazione con materiali orientali di tipo Wieselburg-Gata, e successivamente, dopo una frequentazione in consonanza con le culture di ambito padono, di un "intrusione" di tipo centroalpino della cultura Lucol/Laugen-Meluno/Melaun. Nell'ultima fase il villaggio subisce una ristrutturazione con massicce costruzioni di terrazzamento e difensive, tale da poterlo definire castelliere

No full textCastel de Pedena (northeastern Italy) was a hillfort settlement located in the Venetian Prealps at 680 m above the sea level, in a position that likely conferred upon it a linking role between the Venetian plain and the Alpine areas. The first occupation of the area is dated to the Early Bronze Age, and continues, although intermittently, until the early phase of the Iron Age. The analysis of its Recent Bronze Age to Iron Age pottery assemblage has underlined the use of different recipes for the ceramic production over time. Variations in the raw material selection, clay processing choices, and firing conditions demonstrate a significant shift in the ceramic technology, and therefore, in the potters technological habits
