    No full text
In this paper, we report a preparation of poly aniline PANI nanostructure by oxidative polymerisation in presence of HCl as do pant. The structural, morphological and thermal properties of as prepared PANI was investigated by X ray diffraction XRD , Fourier transform infrared FTIR , UV Visible diffuse reflectance spectrophotometer DRS , Field emission scanning electron microscopy FESEM and Thermo gravimetric analysis TGA .It is found that the morphology of PANI is fibril like shape with band gap of 2.74eV. Thermal conductivity of PANI nanostructure was calculated as a function of temperature. B. Sathish Mohan | Y. Pavan Kumar | D. Ramadevi | K. Vitamin D - A sunshine harmone

Vitamin D was considered only as a vitamin, but its role as a Preprohormone is gaining importance due to its wide range of non-calcemic benefits. So, it should be better addressed as a Sunshine Hormone rather than a vitamin

    Planckian scattering of D-branes

Sherpa Romeo green journal. Open access article. Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY) applies. We consider the gravitational scattering of point particles in four dimensions, at Planckian centre of mass energy and low momentum transfer, or the eikonal approximation. The scattering amplitude can be exactly computed by modelling point particles by very generic metrics. A class of such metrics are black hole solutions obtained from dimensional reduction of p-brane solutions with one or more Ramond-Ramond charges in string theory. At weak string coupling, such black holes are replaced by a collection of wrapped D-branes. Thus, we investigate eikonal scattering at weak coupling by modelling the point particles by wrapped D-branes and show that the amplitudes exactly match the corresponding amplitude found at strong coupling. We extend the calculation for scattering of charged particles.Ye

Note on dimer models and D-brane gauge theories

The connection between quiver gauge theories and dimer models has been well studied. It is known that the matter fields of the quiver gauge theories can be represented using the perfect matchings of the corresponding dimer model. We conjecture that a subset of perfect matchings associated with an internal point in the toric diagram is sufficient to give information about the charge matrix of the quiver gauge theory. Further, we perform explicit computations on some aspects of partial resolutions of toric singularities using dimer models. We analyse these with graph theory techniques, using the perfect matchings of orbifolds of the form C-3/Gamma where the orbifolding group Gamma may be noncyclic. Using these, we study the construction of the superpotential of gauge theories living on D-branes which probe these singularities, including the case where one or more adjoint fields are present upon partial resolution. Applying a combination of open and closed string techniques to dimer models, we also study some aspects of their symmetries

    Is toric duality a Seiberg-like duality in (2 + 1)-d ?

We show that not all (2 + 1) dimensional toric phases are Seiberg-like duals. Particularly, we work out superconformal indices for the toric phases of Fanos C-3, C-5 and B-2. We find that the indices for the two toric phases of Fano B-2 do not match, which implies that they are not Seiberg-like duals. We also take the route of acting Seiberg-like duality transformation on toric quiver Chern-Simons theories to obtain dual quivers. We study two examples and show that Seiberg-like dual quivers are not always toric quivers

A comprehensive analysis of dynamic PAPR reduction schemes in MIMO-OFDM systems

In this paper, an attempt develops three different methods, namely, Hybrid Maximal-Minimum (Max-Min) model with Decomposed Selective Mapping (D-SLM) in a UFMC, Modified Enhancement Asymmetric Arithmetic Coding Scheme (M-EAAC) and Dynamic Threshold-based Logarithmic Companding (DTLC) is carried out in Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) technology to enhance the PAPR reduction. These methods allow increased data rate request through threshold limit adjustment in a desired out-of-band (OOB) range, allows data transmission for the selected for the candidate sequences for maximizing the channel utility, data capacity and computational demands and varying threshold limit to analyse the nonlinear companding effect, respectively on D-UFMC-SLM, M-EAAC SCS-TI and DTLC. The extensive analysis shows that the proposed M-EAAC SCS-TI achieves a reduced CCDF PAPR, increased average spectral efficiency and redued Bit Error Rate (BER) than the other proposed DTLC and D-UFMC-SLM methods

Backreaction effects due to matter coupled higher derivative gravity

    No full text
AdS-hydrodynamics has proven to be a useful tool for obtaining transport coefficients observed in the collective flow of strongly coupled fluids like quark gluon plasma (QGP). Particularly, the ratio of shear viscosity to entropy density eta/s obtained from elliptic flow measurements can be matched with the computation done in the dual gravity theory. The experimentally observed temperature dependence of eta/s requires the study of scalar matter coupled AdS gravity including higher derivative curvature corrections. We obtain the backreaction to the metric for such a matter coupled AdS gravity in D-dimensional spacetime due to the higher derivative curvature corrections. Then, we present the backreaction corrections to shear viscosity eta and entropy density s

The sialic acid transporter NanT is necessary and sufficient for uptake of 3-deoxy-D-manno-oct-2-ulosonic acid (Kdo) and its azido analog in Escherichia coli

3-Deoxy-D-manno-oct-2-ulosonic acid (Kdo) is an essential component of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) in the Gram-negative bacterial outer membrane. Metabolic labeling of Escherichia coli LPS with 8-azido-3,8-dideoxy-D-manno-oct-2-ulosonic acid (Kdo-N3) has been reported but is inefficient. For optimization, it is important to understand how exogenous Kdo-N3 enters the cytoplasm. Based on similarities between Kdo and sialic acids, we proposed and verified that the sialic acid transporter NanT imports exogenous Kdo-N3 into E. coli. We demonstrated that E. coli ΔnanT were not labeled with Kdo-N3, while expression of NanT in the ΔnanT mutant restored Kdo-N3 incorporation. Induced NanT expression in a strain lacking Kdo biosynthesis led to higher exogenous Kdo incorporation and restoration of full-length core-LPS, suggesting that NanT also transports Kdo. While Kdo-N3 incorporation was observed in strains having NanT, it was not detected in Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumannii, which lack nanT. However, heterologous expression of E. coli NanT in P. aeruginosa enabled Kdo-N3 incorporation and labeling, though this led to abnormal morphology and growth arrest. NanT seems to define which bacteria can be labeled with Kdo-N3, provides opportunities to enhance Kdo-N3 labeling efficiency and spectrum, and raises the possibility of Kdo biosynthetic bypass where exogenous Kdo is present, perhaps even in vivo

Spectrum of rotating black holes and its implications for Hawking radiation

Sherpa Romeo green journal. “This is an author-created, un-copyedited version of an article accepted for publication/published in Classical and Quantum Gravity. IOP Publishing Ltd is not responsible for any errors or omissions in this version of the manuscript or any version derived from it.”The reduced phase space formalism for quantising black holes has recently been extended to find the area and angular momentum spectra of four dimensional Kerr black holes. We extend this further to rotating black holes in all spacetime dimensions and show that although as in four dimensions the spectrum is discrete, it is not equispaced in general. As a result, Hawking radiation spectra from these black holes are continuous, as opposed to the discrete spectrum predicted for four dimensional black holes.N
