No full textIl contributo tratta degli spazi aperti interclusi nella disordinata e complessa urbanizzazione della Brianza centrale. Sono spazi di dimensione variabile - dai 50 ai 500 ettari - e dalla natura eterogenea: al loro interno, accanto ad una agricoltura fragile e sempre meno in grado di sopravvivere senza sussidi, troviamo terreni incolti, suoli abbandonati su cui il bosco torna a fare il suo corso, aree a standard mai attuate, ma anche una moltitudine di depositi di materiali edili, discariche abusive, di siti inquinati.
Il contributo offre in primo luogo una descrizione di questi spazi per quello che sono oggi, constatando la loro frammentazione e la loro compromissione; in secondo luogo si interroga su quale ruolo possano ancora svolgere nei confronti nell'urbanizzazione che continua ad eroderne i perimetri; in terzo e ultimo luogo formula una proposta di riorganizzazione paesistica a partire dalla risorse esistenti e dalle pratiche d'uso che già oggi investono questi spazi
Excitable FitzHugh-Nagumo model with cross-diffusion: close and far-from-equilibrium coherent structures
No full textIn this paper, we shall study the formation of stationary patterns for a reaction-diffusion system in which the FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) kinetics, in its excitable regime, is coupled to linear cross-diffusion terms. In (Gambino et al. in Excitable Fitzhugh-Nagumo model with cross-diffusion: long-range activation instabilities, 2023), we proved that the model supports the emergence of cross-Turing patterns, i.e., close-to-equilibrium structures occurring as an effect of cross-diffusion. Here, we shall construct the crossTuring patterns close to equilibrium on 1-D and 2-D rectangular domains. Through this analysis, we shall show that the species are out-of-phase spatially distributed and derivethe amplitude equations that govern the pattern dynamics close to criticality. Moreover, we shall classify the bifurcation in the parameter space, distinguishing between super-and sub-critical transitions. In the final part of the paper, we shall numerically investigate the impact of the cross-diffusion terms on large-amplitude pulse-like solutions existing outside the cross-Turing regime, showing their emergence also in the case of lateral activation and short-range inhibition

No full textRotating metrics and new multipole moments from scattering amplitudes in arbitrary dimensions
No full textWe compute the vacuum metric generated by a generic rotating object in arbitrary dimensions up to third post-Minkowskian order by computing the classical contribution of scattering amplitudes describing the graviton emission by massive spin-1 particles up to two loops. The solution depends on the mass, angular momenta, and on up to two parameters related to generic quadrupole moments. In D = 4 spacetime dimensions, we recover the vacuum Hartle-Thorne solution describing a generic spinning object to second order in the angular momentum, of which the Kerr metric is a particular case obtained for a specific mass quadrupole moment dictated by the uniqueness theorem. At the level of the effective action, the case of minimal couplings corresponds to the Kerr black hole, while any other mass quadrupole moment requires nonminimal couplings. In D > 4, the absence of black-hole uniqueness theorems implies that there are multiple spinning black hole solutions with different topology. Using scattering amplitudes, we find a generic solution depending on the mass, angular momenta, the mass quadrupole moment, and a new stress quadrupole moment which does not exist in D = 4. As special cases, we recover the Myers-Perry and the single-angular-momentum black ring solutions, to third and first post-Minkowksian order, respectively. Interestingly, at variance with the four-dimensional case, none of these solutions corresponds to the minimal coupling in the effective action. This shows that, from the point of view of scattering amplitudes, black holes are the "simplest " general relativity vacuum solutions only in D = 4
Buena fe y onerosidad sobrevenida en tiempos de pandemia
No full textThere is no doubt that good faith plays a fundamental role in modern contract law, however, its field of action and therefore the role of the judge seem to vary according to the openness of the system of sources of the legal system in which it is intended to be applied. Thus, the example of the solutions offered to the phenomenon of supervening hardship, particularly in times of pandemic, shows how they vary from one legal system to another according to the judge’s possibility of resorting to equity to underlie his decision.No cabe duda de que la buena fe desempeña un papel fundamental en el derecho de contratos moderno; sin embargo, su campo de acción y por ende el papel del juez parecen variar según la apertura del sistema de fuentes del ordenamiento en que se pretende aplicar. Así, el ejemplo de las soluciones que se ofrecen frente al fenómeno de la excesiva onerosidad sobrevenida, y en particular en tiempos de pandemia, muestra cómo ellas varían de un ordenamiento a otro según la posibilidad del juez de recurrir a la equidad para fundar su decisión
Mappatura degli orti urbani nella Città Metropolitana di Milano
No full textIl file “Orti_urbani_completo_V1.shp” contiene la mappatura degli orti urbani, prodotta nel progetto di ricerca “LA CITTÀ DEGLI ORTI” concluso nel giugno 2018 integrata con alcune informazioni relative alla loro localizzazione, gestione, classificazione e dimensione.
La ricerca, coordinata da Italia Nostra Onlus - Sezione Milano Nord è stata condotta da Politecnico di Milano - DAStU - Dipartimento di Architettura e Studi Urbani, Scuola Agraria del Parco di Monza,– Universita’ degli Studi di Milano - DEMM Dipartimento Economia, Management e Metodi quantitativi e Studio legale Leone - Torrani e Associati.
La mappatura è stata effettuata dal Politecnico di Milano DAStU a partire da fotointerpretazione di immagini satellitari che ha consentito di individuare localizzazione, geometria e caratteristiche delle singole colonie ortive. Una prima versione della mappa è stata costruita attraverso l’integrazione di diverse fonti disponibili quali:
• la categoria “orti familiari” derivata da Destinazione d’Uso dei Suoli Agricoli e Forestali, Dusaf4 del 2012;
• l’estrazione della feature di Openstreetmap landuse=allotments (febbraio 2015) per l’area di studio;
• la mappatura degli orti lungo il Lambro ricavata dal progetto ReLambro. Il fiume nuova infrastruttura ecologica della metropoli milanese” (2015), studio di fattibilità della rete ecologica lungo il fiume Lambro realizzato da ERSAF, DAStU-Politecnico di Milano, Comune di Milano, Legambiente e Plis Parco Media Valle Lambro, con il contributo di Fondazione Cariplo;
• la mappatura degli orti del comune di Milano in gestione diretta del Comune o dei Municipi (2016)
