No full textRom ist reich an berühmten und lange bekannten Monumenten. Aber auch diese halten manchmal Überraschungen für uns bereit. Im monumentalen Herzen der Stadt beherbergt das Marsfeld ein für die Vergöttlichung der verstorbenen Kaiser bestimmtes Gebiet. Hier hatte Antoninus Pius seinem zum divus gewordenen Vorgänger Hadrian 145 n. Chr. einen prächtigen Tempel geweiht. Von diesem außergewöhnlichen, von Portiken umgebenen Gebäude sind noch alle Säulen der Nordseite
sichtbar, integriert in den Börsenpalast auf der Piazza di Pietra, nicht weit vom Parlament. Eine neue Untersuchung des Kontexts und der Gebrauch von VektorgraikSystemen gestatten es, eine neue Rekonstruktion des Tempels mit einer Säulenstellung von 8 x 12 Säulen vorzuschlagen

No full textResearch on the north-eastern slope of the Palatine Hill, directly overlooking the Colosseum Square, has
represented an important project of the Department of Antiquity at La Sapienza University, which funds
the fieldwork.
The research project started in 2001 under the direction of C. Panella and is still ongoing, under the direction
of M.T. D’Alessio. Opened in 2017, the latest excavation is only on his fourth field campaign and has already
made it possible to acquire relevant information relating to the last occupation of the site in late imperial
times and its obliteration. In order to increase the understanding of this urban context in its development,
further analyses will try to answer a number of unresolved questions, such as the southern extension of the
curiae Veteres sanctuary and the relation between the sanctuary itself and other complexes in its vicinity
