The method concerns the measurement of the speed of the ratio between the barbell/dumbbell and a limb, through the use of an accelerometer or tools suitable for this assessment, which are more and more accurate and marketed today. In consideration of the need in sports training to establish an optimal workload, this innovative methodology measures the speed of execution and proposes a hypothetical ideal training load, through a sensor that can be connected to the wrist or the bar in order to perform the exercises in the best way. No full textQuesto contributo disegna le linee guida della ricerca sui rapporti di Nicola Cusano con l’ermetismo. Tale tradizione letteraria dell’antichità, infatti, nella considerazione della storiografia moderna, è apparsa scomponibile in due diverse aree conoscitive: una di carattere teorico-dottrinale rappresentata da testi cosiddetti filosofico-religiosi e un’altra di natura pratico-operativa testimoniata da testi scientifici afferenti ai diversi campi di magia, astrologia, alchimia e medicina applicata. Il problema del rapporto tra le due aree citate ha posto agli interpreti moderni la questione dell’unità interna dell’ermetismo. Tale problema si dimostra di fatto superato alla luce della dottrina gnoseologica di Cusano che nel processo conoscitivo intende distinguere e insieme unificare due piani fondamentali, quello della ratio e quello dell’intellectus, rispettivamente inerenti agli ambiti propri della scientia, regolata dal principio di non contraddizione, e della sapientia, caratterizzata dalla norma della coincidenza degli opposti. L’analogia tra la dottrina gnoseologica di Cusano, da una parte, e quella sottesa all’ermetismo, dall’altra, dimostra l’inconsistenza delle contraddizioni rilevate fra le due classi di scritti ermetici. In questo articolo si mostra che l’unificazione dei due campi citati, scientia e sapientia, avviene per Cusano nello spazio dedicato alla mens, luogo di incontro tra finito e infinito

Wavefield decomposition and phase space dynamics of the seismic noise at Volcan de Colima, Mexico: evidence of a two-state source process
No full textWe analyse the seismic noise recorded at the Colima
Volcano (Mexico) in the period December 2005–May
2006 by four broadband three-component seismic stations.
Specifically, we characterize the spectral content of the signal and follow its time evolution along all the data set. Moreover, we infer the properties of the attractor in the phase space by false nearest neighbours analysis and Grassberger–Procaccia algorithm, and adopt a time-domain decomposition method (independent component analysis) to find the basic constituents (independent components) of the system.
Constraints on the seismic wavefield are inferred by the polarization analysis.We find two states of the background seismicity visible in different time-intervals that are Phase A and Phase B. Phase A has a spectrum with two peaks at 0.15 Hz
and 0.3 Hz, with the latter dominating, an attractor of correlation dimension close to 3, three quasi-monochromatic independent components, and a relevant fraction of craterpointing
polarization solutions in the near-field. In Phase B,
the spectrum is preserved but with the highest peak at
0.15 Hz, the attractor has a correlation dimension close to
2, two independent components are extracted, and the polarization solutions are dominated by Rayleigh waves incoming from the southwest direction. We depict two sources acting on the background seismicity that are the microseismic noise
loading on the Pacific coastline and a low-energy volcanic tremor. A change in the amplitude of the microseismic noise
can induce the switching from a state of the system to the

No full textThe importance of the number of key passes detected in a football match is becoming increasingly important in the specificity of the match analysis in football. Determining this index allows obtaining extremely significant data about the offensive dangerousness and the technical characteristics of some of the athletes of a team, during the game observation phase. Ball possession understood as a statistical index of the predominance of one team over another is related to the index of key passes expressed to understand how their correlation is effective and relevant to the positive outcomes reached by the team. This research can highlight the usefulness of the connection between the two reference values in the analysis of the tactical football performance. The search for data is carried out in a portion of the Italian football championship, and allows us observing significant elements and evaluating the link with the outcomes expressed by the team. This examination represents an innovative point of observation in the specific statistical analysis of this discipline, and could be of considerable advantage in subsequent scientific research
