[Greetings from Houston, Texas Postcard]
Color postcard that states "Greetings from Houston, Texas" in large lettering. The letters that make "Houston" are filled with images of the city, including scenes of Galveston, Texas. The background is a vivid blue with a rainbow on the upper right side. The backside of the photograph has a written message that states "[Have thought?] of you so much + just didn't get to this sooner. Met Mrs. Doolittle + she's been lovely. Am hoping to see you soon. Saw at 709 Baukers Mtg. Bldg.-C-4-1846 o[f?] L-1618 (Home). Sincerely, Bea Auderson." Sideways on the postcard is written "Like it here so much". The postcard is addressed to Mrs. Jena Yael [of] 510 W. 10th Street, Dallas, Texas. This style of postcard was created by Curt Teich, creator of Curt Teich & Company. The company soon became the world's largest printer of view and advertising postcards

Color tinted halftone postcard of the Texas & Pacific Railway Hospital, in Marshall, Texas. The image was probably taken not long after the building was opened in 1928, but this card was probably printed in the 1930s, based on the linen style paper. It was sent through the mails and postmarked on April 24, 1940. The view shows a drive in the foreground curving in front of the building. The building is a long horizontal two-story structure with a slightly projecting entrance section. Three automobiles are parked on the drive. Printed in the white border above the image is the title, "T. & P. Hospital, Marshall, Texas," and printed below the image is the code "2461-29." Printed between the message and address sections: "C. T. American Art, Reg. U. S. Pat. Off. Made only by Curt Teich Co., Inc., Chicago." The card is addressed to Mrs. Violet Swain in Austin, Texas

The view shows the facade of the two-story hipped-roof building with square two-story columns on the porch that extends across the entire facade and part of one side. The building is surrounded by trees, and in the foreground is a circular sunken space with stairs leading down, perhaps a sunken garden. It is surrounded by a low wall with a railing and small bushes. Printed in black ink above the image: "Music Hall, Bishop College, Marshall, Texas." Printed in the lower right corner below the image: "D-2671" There is no postmark on the back of the card. Printed between the message and address sections: "C. T. Photo Platin, reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Made only by Curt Teich & Co., Inc., Chicago" Bishop College was established in 1881 as a Baptist college for African Americans in Texas. The school moved to Dallas in 1961. The campus was sold the same year. Its buildings were demolished

Stamped in blue in the message space is:"Sample Photo Curt Teich & Co, Chicago, ILL." Bishop College was established in 1881 as a Baptist college for African Americans in Texas.
