Architecture for the Future presso l’Architekturzentrum Wien, curata da Angelika Fitz, Elke Krasny e Marvi Mazhar.
La mostra è accompagnata dal libro Yasmeen Lari. Architecture for the Future, pubblicato da MIT press e contiene un saggio di Cassandra Cozza sull’importanza dell’operato dell’arch. Lari per i futuri architetti, per ripensare i valori e la pratica dell’architettura e illustra la ricerca svolta con gli studenti della Scuola AUIC.Models made by the students of Yasmeen Lari's Humanitarian Architecture Workshop, responsible prof. Cassandra Cozza, at LaborA - physical and virtual modeling laboratory, organized by the AUIC School on the occasion of the awarding of an honorary degree in Architecture to Pakistani architect Yasmeen Lari in 2021, are on display in the monographic exhibition Yasmeen Lari. Architecture for the Future at the Architekturzentrum Wien, curated by Angelika Fitz, Elke Krasny, and Marvi Mazhar.
The exhibition is accompanied by the book Yasmeen Lari. Architecture for the Future, published by MIT press, which contains an essay by Cassandra Cozza on the importance of arch. Lari for future architects to rethink the values and practice of architecture and illustrates the research conducted with the AUIC School students

Innovation policies in the Adriatic Region
Full text linkThe chapter provides an overview of Innovation policies adopted across the Adriatic Region. Policies are broken down by a novel taxonomy that distinguishes among R&D, Human resources, Collaboration and Innovation Capabilities policies. The overview of policies confirms a very high degree of heterogeneity across Adriatic countries and provides details on some common problematic topics: the missing critical mass of research and innovation in many countries of the Region; the importance of collaboration among countries and organisations; the lack of continuity in policies. Finally, the chapter recalls some best practices of innovation policies identified within the PACINNO project
Area di Viale Te. Persistenza e valorizzazione di uno spazio aperto eccezionale
No full textLa vasta area aperta che si estende dietro Palazzo Te si trova a sud della città compatta ed è caratterizzata da una sequenza eterogenea di spazi che restituiscono una superficie complessiva di 7,5 ettari, una dimensione eccezionale per l’intera città di Mantova. Il margine meridionale è segnato dalla presenza di un rilevato ferroviario oltre il quale si sono sviluppati i quartieri dell’espansione urbana, mentre il suo limite occidentale costituisce il tratto finale dell’antico “asse gonzaghesco” che collegava la residenza privata del Te alla Cattedrale e al Palazzo Ducale. Il palazzo monumentale e Viale Te, con le porte storiche e i doppi filari alberati fanno da elementi ordinatori a una sequenza di spazi aperti e di corpi di fabbrica molto eterogenei sia nel carattere che nella misura: il giardino pubblico, il grande prato dell’ex ippodromo, che ospita alcuni campi sportivi, la Palazzina della Bocciofila, lo Stadio Martelli, che chiude il lato orientale del grande rettangolo dell’area. Dopo l’allontanamento della Fiera del Bestiame e alcuni successivi tentativi di trasformazione senza esito, il destino attuale dell’area è quello di diventare un grande parco urbano strutturato per il tempo libero, lo sport, le iniziative culturali. La molteplicità degli usi futuri impone la necessità di un disegno urbano capace di gestire le relazioni tra spazi aperti e costruiti per coniugare le presenze monumentali e ambientali ai nuovi obiettivi paesaggistici e infrastrutturali.Viale Te Area. Persistence and enhancement of an exceptional open space
The vast open area behind Palazzo Te lies to the south of the compact city and is characterized by a heterogeneous sequence of spaces that form a total area of 7.5 hectares, an exceptional size for the entire city of Mantua. Its southern edge is marked by the presence of a railway embankment beyond which the neighborhoods of urban expansion developed, while its western limit constitutes the final section of the ancient «Gonzaga axis» that connected Te’s private palace to the Cathedral and the Ducal Palace. The monumental palace and Viale Te, with its historic gates and double tree-lined rows, act as the ordering elements of a sequence of open spaces and buildings that are very heterogeneous both in character and in size: the public garden, the large lawn of the former hippodrome, which houses some sports fields, the Palazzina della Bocciofila, and the Martelli Stadium, which closes the eastern side of the large rectangle of the area. After removing the Cattle Fair and some subsequent unsuccessful attempts at transformation, the current fate of the area is to become a large urban park structured for leisure, sports, and cultural initiatives. The multiplicity of future uses imposes the need for an urban design capable of managing the relationships between open and built-up spaces to combine monumental and environmental presences with new landscape and infrastructural objectives
