No full text“El Heraldo: comercio, industria, literatura y variedades” fue un bisemanario fundado el 4 de Julio de 1889 por Lázaro María Pérez y su hijo José Joaquín Pérez, comerciantes de origen cartagenero dueños de una firma de agentes de negocios, comisionista y directores de la librería Torres Caicedo fundada en 1870. Inicialmente “El Heraldo” se dedicó a la publicación de variedades, textos literarios y noticias sobre comercio e industria, no obstante, a lo largo de su existencia tomó el carácter de órgano de opinión pública adscrito a la doctrina conservadora del ala histórica. En sus páginas colaboraron intelectuales y políticos como Eduardo Posada, José Rivas Groot, Rafael María Carrasquilla, Soledad Acosta de Samper, Eduardo Gutiérrez, Pedro Castro Manrique, Aníbal Galindo, Enrique Villar entre otros. Esta publicación era editada por la casa editorial de J.J Pérez en Bogotá, en la carrera 8 No.314 y 316, la primera y última página contenía avisos publicitarios nacionales e internacionales, algunos de alta riqueza gráfica, la segunda y tercera página traía temas repartidos por columnas sobre noticias nacionales, literatura, crónica exterior, comercio y comentarios del director. On-load Tap Changer Diagnosis on High-Voltage Power Transformers using Dynamic Resistance Measurements
No full textHigh-voltage transformers have tap changers to regulate the voltage in the high-voltage network when the load changes. Those tap changers are subject to different degradation mechanisms and need regular maintenance. Various defects, like contact degradation, often remain undetected and the probability of maintenance errors cannot be neglected. Preventive diagnosis of dynamic resistance can be used to determine the contact condition and to check the basic function of the tap changer. This can guarantee that the high-voltage transformer can be put back into operation safely after maintenance. In addition, the information obtained can be used for condition-based maintenance. The research of Jur Erbrink elaborates on the condition assessment of tap changers using dynamic resistance measurements. He describes in his thesis the different ways in which the measurements can be performed and how this influences the measurement results. In particular it was emphasized that the dynamic resistance measurements at a lower the test current are more sensitive for long term aging effects. A new species of Anadia (Reptilia, Squamata) from the Venezuelan 'Lost World', northern South America
No full textA new gymnophthalmid lizard of the genus Anadia Gray, 1845 is described from the summit of Abakapá-tepui, Bolívar State, Venezuela, between 2200-2242 m elevation. The new species, Anadia mcdiarmidi sp. nov., is endemic to the Chimantá Massif and seemingly also occurs on Amurí-tepui and Murei-tepui. The new taxon is mainly distinguished from all known congeners by the following combination of characters: body fairly robust, dorsal scales small and quadrangular, middorsal scales 53-57, suboculars large, subequal in size, with sometimes one scale slightly protruding downward between 4th and 5th supralabial, nasal entire, without sub-nostril groove, body uniform beige or greyish to bluish brown in life, devoid of any conspicuous pattern in males, venter immaculate golden grey in life, femoral pores 9-10 on each side in males, preanal pores absent, hemipenis globose, weakly bilobed, bordered by numerous fl ounces (>20) bearing comblike rows of minute weakly mineralized spinules. The presence of a species of Anadia, a primarily Andean genus, on the top of tepuis is of considerable interest to the understanding of the Pantepui biogeography
