Complexity and Sociology
No full textThis study focuses on the correlation between sociology and complexity and it operates a reflection on the deep epistemological and ontological meaning of complexity, revealing how complexity goes beyond the analysis of the global society and is linked to sociology itself and to the issue of its scientific trait. The study shows how complexity, rediscovered following the globalization processes, reconnects sociology with its own origins and concerns the issue of the relation of sociological science with its own object, that is to say, society and social order. In a more radical manner, the challenge of complexity is intertwined with the road of revisiting modern science and epistemological identifying among “order”, “intelligibility”, and “science”. In such a vision, complexity, not only reconnects sociology to its object, but highlights how those traits considered as non‐scientific residue of human and social sciences belong to the fundamental issue of scientific knowledge. The challenge of complexity is outlined, as questioning the idea according to which the “modern" science depletes the “scientific vision of the world”
Social integration of new generation in Abruzzo region
No full textIl lavoro analizza i processi di integrazione sociale delle nuove
generazioni di origine immigrata in Abruzzo, ossia in un contesto in forte
trasformazione a seguito della crescita del carattere multietnico e
pluriculturale. In particolare si analizza l’integrazione sociale prendendo in
considerazione: la composizione delle famiglie dei preadolescenti italiani e
stranieri; gli aspetti normativi presenti nelle relazioni familiari quotidiane.
Tale tematica è stata analizzata nell’ambito di una ricerca empirica condotta
su un campione di 1314 preadolescenti italiani e stranieri in Abruzzo.The aim of the study is to analyze social integration processes of
the new generations of immigrant origin in the Abruzzo region, that are
undergoing deep transformation because of the growth of their multiethnic
and multicultural character. Particularly, I have investigated social
integration taking into consideration: the family composition of Italian and
immigrant preadolescents; the normative aspects involved in every day
interactions within the family ambit. Such a question is dealt with
considering an empirical research carried out - on a sample of 1314 Italian
and foreign preadolescents - in Abruzzo, a region in central Italy
