Andrew Andy Cohen Interview, September 16, 2019
Andy Cohen, the guitarist for the band Silkworm, describes his early interest in music and playing in bands, which led to the formation of Silkworm in 1987 in Missoula, Montana. He discusses the extent to which Silkworm was independent from the pressures of popular indie rock trends, producers, and major label companies. Cohen also reflects on the punk rock-indie rock scene of the 1980s in Missoula and explores the influence of the town’s culture and geography on Silkworm’s career.https://scholarworks.umt.edu/missoulamusic_oralhistory/1001/thumbnail.jp
