A Parson in the Era of Transformations

    No full text
This paper is devoted to the issues concerning the leadership of a parson over his parish in the era of transformations which are taking place in the Central and Eastern Europe. These transformations are multiple and complex. The author of the paper focuses on the socio-cultural and religious transformations which constitute the essential background for the parson’s ministry. These transformations result in the fact that the previous model of leadership in the parish community is not sufficient or adequate to the contemporary challenges. On the basis of the theory of organization and leadership, the attempt was made to indicate the directions of the parson’s work which are to result in the transformation of a parish so that it could become more of an evangelizing community. On the basis of the teachings of the Church and this theory, the author indicated the features of a parson which are particularly vital in the leadership in a parish. The attention was also drawn to some ways of the priest’s formation which can help parsons to effectively pursue their mission

W oparciu o nauczanie Kościoła i tę teorię zauważone zostały cechy proboszcza, szczególnie przydatne do kierowania parafią. Zwrócono także uwagę na niektóre sposoby formacji kapłańskiej, mogące pomóc proboszczom skutecznie realizować ich posłannictwo. This paper is devoted to the issues concerning the leadership of a parson over his parish in the era of transformations which are taking place in the Central and Eastern Europe. Regulation of the homeostasis of hepatic endoplasmic reticulum and cytochrome P450 enzymes by autophagy

    No full text
The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is an intracellular organelle consisting of a continuous network of membranes. In the liver, the ER is highly active in protein modification, lipid metabolism, and xenobiotic detoxification. Maintaining these complicated processes requires elaborate control of the ER lumen environment as well as the ER volume. Increasing evidence suggests that autophagy plays a critical role in regulating the homeostasis of hepatic ER contents and levels of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes via selective ER-phagy. This review will provide an overview of ER-phagy, summarizing the possible roles of recently identified ER-phagy receptor proteins in regulating the homeostasis of hepatic ER and CYP enzymes as well as outlining the various implications of ER-phagy in ER-related liver diseases. Keywords: Alcoholic liver disease, Endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-phagy, Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, Cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes, Liver diseases, Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH
