No full textIn Italia il nome 'greco' e 'grechetto' è stato utilizzato per indicare diversi vitigni, riferendosi spesso ai tradizionali vini dolci della Grecia (Costacurta et al., 2004).
Le analis del DNA hanno rilevato che il greco, principalmernte diffuso in Campania con il nome di 'Greco di tufo', e sinonimo di 'Asprinio', già citato dal 1600 e che è geneticamente vicino all' 'Aleatico' (Costantini et al., 2005). Presente esclusivamente in Italia, principalmente in Campania, dove occupa circa 1.300 Ha, e presente anche in Liguria, Toscana, Molise, Basilicata, Puglia. Germogliamento medio-tardivo e vendemmia tardiva. Sensibile a peronospora e oidio. Adatto alla produzione di vini varietali di notevole struttura, minerali, con caratteristiche note erbacee, di albicocca e nocciola. Sicuramente il vino varietale più noto è il 'Greco di Tufo DOCG' prodotto in Campania, che è stato il primo vino bianco ad ottenere la DOCG in Italia. E' spesso utilizzato in miscela con altri vini bianchi
Reinforcement design and control of rock slopes above tunnel portals in Northern Italy
No full textThe stability features of slopes located above the portals of tunnels along important roads are here presented, together with two examples for reinforcement and protection works. The investigation phase and the reinforcement works have considered also the purpose of avoiding the interruption of the traffic when this would cause unacceptable consequences. The first case refers about the construction of a portal along a narrow and steep valley in a volcanick rock formation. The control of the vibration of the blasting action has been carried out for the period of the excavation in order to foresee the occurrence of potential dangerous situations. The second is the case of the portal of the East access to the Highway n.10. Even though the adits are protected by two portals, the occurrence of rock and debris falls from the upper part of the mountain could create a dangerous situation. Above the portals the morphology of the slope is characterized by two subvertical rock slopes, which are separated by an intermediate zone of debris material

No full textThe paper illustrates the first application in a real architectural context of samples of Stochastic Tiles, based on paintings by Sergio Lombardo, an Italian artist, a leading figure of the Roman avant-garde in the sixties who is still active today. In the eighties he elaborated the innovative aesthetic theory of Eventualism .
Stochastic Architectural Composition is an experimental research activity, carried on by the author, that deals with complexity and random processes in architecture, according to the methods and procedures developed by Lombardo, as well as to the new ideas of creativity and the artwork delineated by the Eventualist theory. Some experimental projects and built architectures, designed by the author, are also presented in the article
A weighted strategy to handle likelihood uncertainty in Bayesian inference
No full textThe sensitivity of posterior inferences to model specification can be considered as an indicator of the presence of outliers, that are to be considered as highly unlikely values under the assumed model. The occurrence of anomalous values can seriously alter the shape of the likelihood function and lead to posterior distributions far from those one would obtain without these data inadequacies. In order to deal with these hindrances, a robust approach is discussed, which allows us to obtain outliers’ resistant posterior distributions with properties similar to those of a proper posterior distribution. The methodology is based on the replacement of the genuine likelihood by a weighted likelihood function in the Bayes’ formula
