Get PDFWithout is a collaboration between Sally Underwood and Roxy Walsh. Their ongoing research explores how artworks co-habit gallery spaces, and how those spaces are inhabited by the bodies within it. Dwellings, small architectures, paintings and wall paintings are central to these explorations: artworks sited within other artworks.
UnderwoodWalsh were invited by Karen Knorr and Daniel Blight to make a site specific installation for Chandelier Projects, housed in the studio of Karen Knorr in Hackney, for the spring of 2015.
Following on from their installation at Art Exchange (See Outwith), a tree was central to this installation. Here, away from the parkland, a lone tree alongside a giant egg, a park bench not fit for sitting, and imagistic paintings (a figure, a dick-duck, a shadow in pink grass) alongside patches of architectural colour.
An accompanying text was commissioned from Simon Clark. The finissage, on 16th May, also featured a poetry reading by Liz Berry and a performance by Simon Clark

Clear the Air: Moving towards a more supportive, welcoming, Tobacco-free Clark University
Get PDFThe deleterious health effects of the consumption of tobacco products, especially for youth, have been documented thoroughly and are nearly universally recognized. Numerous federal, state, and local regulations, coupled with health education and tobacco cessation initiatives have been launched to address these effects. Although these pushes have done much to reduce the rates of preventable health conditions and death due to the usage of tobacco, there remains much work to be done at the local level to discourage and disrupt patterns of substance use and abuse. The mission of Clark Clear the Air is to propose various and creative ways in which Clark University can work to reduce the rates at which tobacco products are used in our community, including a tobacco-free policy on campus, while simultaneously fostering a welcoming and supportive space and a community-based approach to accountability with this policy

No full textNewspaper article discussing the election of Edward L. Simon to Clark College's Board of Trustees as its chairman. Simon was the general auditor of Atlanta Life Insurance Company and was a Clark College alumnus. Four new members were also appointed to the board: Vernon Jordan, J. C. Daugherty, Major Jones, and Charles Kindelberger. Jordan was the director of Voter Education for the Southern Regional Council, Daugherty was a member of the Georgia legislature, Jones was the president of Gammon Theological Seminary, and Kindelberger was a professor of economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 2 pages
