Adiabatic waveforms from extreme-mass-ratio inspirals: an analytical approach
Get PDFScientific analysis for the gravitational-wave detector LISA will require
theoretical waveforms from extreme-mass-ratio inspirals (EMRIs) that
extensively cover all possible orbital and spin configurations around
astrophysical Kerr black holes. However, on-the-fly calculations of these
waveforms have not yet overcome the high dimensionality of the parameter space.
To confront this challenge, we present a user-ready EMRI waveform model for
generic (eccentric and inclined) orbits in Kerr spacetime, using an analytical
self-force approach. Our model accurately covers all EMRIs with arbitrary
inclination and black hole spin, up to modest eccentricity () and
separation (-- from the last stable orbit). In that regime, our
waveforms are accurate at the leading `adiabatic' order, and they approximately
capture transient self-force resonances that significantly impact the
gravitational-wave phase. The model fills an urgent need for extensive
waveforms in ongoing data-analysis studies, and its individual components will

The play opened in London\u27s West End in 1952 and ran continuously until 16 March 2020, when the stage performances had to be temporarily discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic. The longest-running West End show, it also has by far the longest run of any play in the world, with its 29,500th performance having taken place as of February 2024.
A whodunit, the play has a twist ending which the audience are traditionally asked not to reveal after leaving the theatre. There are eight members of the cast, and by 2012 more than 400 actors had played the roles. Richard Attenborough was the original Detective Sergeant Trotter, and his wife, Sheila Sim, the first Mollie Ralston – owner of Monkswell Manor guesthouse. Mapping Cilento: Using geotagged social media data to characterize tourist flows in southern Italy

This paper describes an approach to analyze geotagged social media data from Twitter to characterize spatial, temporal and demographic features of tourist flows in Cilento - a regional tourist attraction in southern Italy.
It demonstrates how the analysis of geotagged social media data yields more detailed spatial, temporal and demographic information of tourist movements in comparison to the current understanding of tourist flow patterns in the region.
The insights obtained from our case study illustrate the potential of the proposed methodology yet attention should be paid to biases in the data as well as methodological limitations when drawing conclusions from analytical results.status: Publishe

Inspired by the farces of the ancient Roman playwright Plautus (254–184 BC), specifically Curculio, Pseudolus, Miles Gloriosus, and Mostellaria, the musical tells the bawdy story of a slave named Pseudolus and his attempts to win his freedom by helping his young master woo the girl next door. The plot displays many classic elements of farce, including puns, the slamming of doors, cases of mistaken identity (frequently involving characters disguising themselves as one another), and satirical comments on social class. The title derives from a line often used by vaudeville comedians to begin a story: A funny thing happened on the way to the theater .
The musical\u27s original 1962 Broadway run won several Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Author (Musical).
