Assessing User Attitudes Toward Mobile Commerce In The U.S. Vs. Korea: Implications For M-Commerce CRM
Mobile Commerce (m-commerce) relies on “customer or user interactions” via a mobile device and telecommunications infrastructure for the purpose of interacting, advertising, promoting, and selling products and services. The author of this study explored user attitudes and behavior toward m-commerce in the U.S. vs. Korea. In this paper, the author investigated comparison analysis for the U.S. vs. Korea for the following issues: 1) the factors affecting user attitudes toward mobile phone business; 2) how those factors affect perceived ease of use (EOU) and usefulness (U); 3) the effects of perceived ease of use (EOU) and usefulness (U) on overall attitudes toward the mobile phone business; and 4) how overall attitudes toward mobile phone business affect user/customer satisfaction. Surveys were conducted in two countries and the results reveal the different aspects affecting mobile phone usage in the U.S. vs. Korea. This study also found that user attitudes toward the mobile phone business significantly impact the level of m-satisfaction. Furthermore, this study provides managerial implications and offers suggestions to m-businesses.1
Introduction
Book synopsis: The book documents, analyses and makes accessible the law and policy related to illicit drugs in various Asian jurisdictions. The focus is specifically on the measures undertaken in Asia to combat drug offences and, in particular, the use of the death penalty for such offences. It will enhance the ability of public policy and law makers, non-governmental organisations and the general population to engage in the debate on the appropriate approach towards illicit drugs. A wide range of Asian jurisdictions, particularly in Southeast Asia, have been intentionally selected to show a diversity of approaches in the 'war on drugs' debate. The areas examined include developments in the law and policy relating to illicit drugs; use of criminal law measures to combat drug-related offences; motivations of drug offenders; public support for punitive punishments; structure of the laws; procedural rights of accused persons; mandatory/discretionary sentencing and use of the death penalty
Structural features of an influenza virus promoter and their implications for viral RNA synthesis
The influenza A virus, a severe pandemic pathogen, has a segmented RNA genome consisting of eight single-stranded RNA molecules. The 5 ' and 3 ' ends of each RNA segment recognized by the influenza A virus RNA-dependent RNA polymerase direct both transcription and replication of the virus's RNA genome. Promoter binding by the viral RNA polymerase and formation of an active open complex are prerequisites for viral replication and proliferation. Here, we describe the solution structure of this promoter as solved by multidimensional, heteronuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Our studies show that the viral promoter has a significant dynamic nature and reveal an unusual displacement of an adenosine that forms a novel (A-A).U motif and a C-A mismatch stacked in a, helix. The characterized structural features of the promoter imply that the specificity of polymerase binding results from an internal RNA loop. In addition, an unexpected bending (46 +/- 10 degrees) near the initiation site suggests the existence of a promoter recognition mechanism similar to that of DNA-dependent,RNA polymerase and a possible regulatory function for the terminal structure during open complex formation

Laser attenuation correction for planar nephelometry concentration measurements
Planar imaging of optically dense media using laser diagnostics is subject to measurement errors due to the occurrence of laser attenuation. Laser attenuation effects are particularly significant in Planar Nephelometry, a technique which infers particle concentration from the intensity of light scattered from particles. The current study presents an iterative correction method for Planar Nephelometry concentration measurements to account for errors due to laser attenuation. This method minimizes the influence of laser attenuation by applying the corrections directly on instantaneous planar images of the medium investigated. As instantaneous images are used, the method is suitable for measurements of highly turbulent flows that require instantaneous planar information. The proposed correction method is validated experimentally using Planar Nephelometry concentration measurements. Experiments conducted used neutrally buoyant spherical particles suspended in water at various known concentrations. Results indicate that corrections can be used to improve the accuracy of concentration measurements from 65% to approximately 90%.M. Cheong, C. Birzer, and T. La

Management of anti-Rhesus-D antibodies in pregnancy: a review from 1994 to 1998
Intravascular as opposed to intraperitoneal transfusions were found to be the main method of transfusion in the later years in this study, a finding which was expected with improved sonographic equipment. Apart from this, management and prognosis of anti-D red cell isoimmunisation in pregnancy have remained relatively stable since the 1980s. Amniocentesis was useful in the management of such pregnancies, especially as an initial procedure in the cases with a lower initial anti-D level. In this series 90% of the fetuses requiring blood transfusion, but were without hydrops, survived, whereas this was about 70%, if they had become hydropic (this latter figure was reduced by 2 hydropic deaths before 20 weeks' gestation in the same very severely affected woman)
