Male. Brown. Head. Eye bridge with 2–3 rows of facets. Prefrons with 13 setae. Clypeus with no setae. Palpus one-segmented, with 2 setae and a large dorsal patch of sensilla. Antennal flagellomeres (Fig. 4A) asymmetrical with the frontal part larger. Length/width of 4th flagellomere: 1.88–2.09. Neck length/width: 0.93–0.94. Thorax. Anterior pronotum with 4–5 setae. Prothoracic episternum with 2–3 setae. Wings (Fig. 6B). Length 2.36–2.47 mm. Width/length: 0.46–0.48. R1/R: 1.64. c/w: 0.79–0.80. R1 with dorsal and ventral setae, bM, r-m and stCuA bare. Legs. Foretibia (Fig. 4B) unmodified, without specialized setae. Foretibia spur longer than the tibial width. Hypopygium (Figs. 3C–F, 4C). Gonocoxite longer than gonostylus. Gonocoxites fused, ventromedial margin distinct with short to moderate setae, ventrolateral surface with long and dense setae, apicomesial corner with 1 or 2 elongated setae. Intergonocoxal area without lobe- or finger-like projections, without setose area. Gonostylus elongated with a medial lobe, which have 3 megasetae.Apical tooth with a long megaseta attached to its ventral side and 2 subapical megasetae near the tooth, the megasetae slender and slightly curved. Tegmen broader than long, smoothly rounded apically and basolaterally sclerotized. Aedeagus with an indistinct apical fork and a basocentral sclerotized central strip. Distribution. China: Zhejiang. Remarks. Pseudoaerumnosa tianmushana sp. n. resembles P. formosa in its elongated gonostylus and tegmen narrowed above the middle, but differs by having an aedeagus with indistinct apical fork and gonostylus medial lobe reaching to apical 1 / 3 of gonostylus, while having an aedeagus with distinct apical fork and gonostylus with medial lobe reaching to apical 1 / 4 of gonostylus in P. formosa. Etymology. This species is named after its type locality, Tianmu Mountain (Chinese: Tianmu-shan) in Zhejiang province, China.Published as part of Chen, Zuluan, Yang, Xue, Menzel, Frank, Wu, Hong & Huang, Junhao, 2021, Three Oriental species of Pseudoaerumnosa Rudzinski (Diptera, Sciaridae) from China, pp. 551-562 in Zootaxa 4969 (3) on page 558, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4969.3.7, http://zenodo.org/record/475148

Eye bridge 2–3 rows of facets. Prefrons with 10 setae. Clypeus with no setae. Palpus one-segmented, with 3 setae and a large dorsal patch of sensillae. Antennal flagellomeres (Fig. 2A) asymmetrical with the frontal part larger. Length/width of 4th flagellomere: 1.50–1.60. Neck length/width: 0.58– 0.59. Thorax. Anterior pronotum with 5–6 setae. Proepisternum with 3–12 setae. Wings (Fig. 6A). Length 2.47 mm. Width/length: 0.55–0.60. R1/R: 2.26. c/w: 0.55–0.85. R1 with dorsal and ventral setae, bM, r-m and stCuA bare. Legs. Foretibia unmodified without specialized setae. Foretibia spur longer than the tibial width (Fig. 2B). Hypopygium (Figs. 2C, 3A–B). Gonocoxite longer than gonostylus. Gonocoxites fused, ventromedial margin distinct with short to moderate setae, ventrolateral surface with long and dense setae, apicomesial corner with 1 or 2 elongated setae. Intergonocoxal area without lobe-like or finger-like production, without setose area. Gonostylus elongated with a medial lobe, which has 3 megasetae. Apical tooth with a long megaseta attached to its ventral side, with 2 subapical megasetae near the tooth, all these megasetae slender and slightly curved. Tegmen wider than long, nearly straight apically, basolaterally sclerotized. Aedeagus with distinct apical fork and basal sclerotization. Distribution. China: Zhejiang. Remarks. Pseudoaerumnosa regularis sp. n. is similar to P. annae in having an elongate gonostylus and the tegmen straight laterally, but differs in having a narrow aedeagus and 3 megasetae on the lobe of gonostylus, while having a broad aedeagus and 4 megasetae on the lobe of gonostylus in P. annae. Etymology. The species is named after its regularly-shaped hypopygium, from the Latin, regularis, meaning regularity.Published as part of Chen, Zuluan, Yang, Xue, Menzel, Frank, Wu, Hong & Huang, Junhao, 2021, Three Oriental species of Pseudoaerumnosa Rudzinski (Diptera, Sciaridae) from China, pp. 551-562 in Zootaxa 4969 (3) on pages 556-558, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4969.3.7, http://zenodo.org/record/475148

This species is common and widespread in the Palaearctic Region. It was recorded as Sciara annulata Meigen, 1818 from Taiwan (Lin & Chen 1999; Rudzinski 2004). It can be distinguished by having CuA 2 bare and apex of gonostylus not attenuated, almost equally wide along entire length.Published as part of Wu, Hong, Zhang, Su-Jiong & Huang, Junhao, 2010, The genus Ctenosciara Tuomikoski in China, with descriptions of three new species (Diptera, Sciaridae), pp. 42-50 in Zootaxa 2560 on page 43, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19701
