Between environmental literature and ocean literature, Syaman Rapongan and Liao Hongji

    No full text
The subject of the bachelor thesis is a literary analysis of selected works with oceanic subject matter by contemporary Taiwanese authors Syaman Rapongan (*1957) and Liao Hongji (*1957). Rapongan's novel The Eyes of the Sky (2012) and Liao Hongji's short story cycle Fishermen (1996) will be presented in the broader context of "bentu literature" (bentu wenxue; i.e., local Taiwanese literature) and closely related environmental and ocean literature. In the analytical part, the author will focus on the motivic construction in the work of Rapongan and Liao in relation to ocean and environmental themes. The main focus will be on the differences in the conception of the ocean and marine culture in Rapongan's work as a member of the indigenous tribe Tao, and Liao Hongji, whose origin is Han. The thesis further examines whether and how environmental and oceanic literature overlap, using Wu Mingyi's definition of environmental literature. Keywords Syaman Rapongan, Liao Hongji, ocean literature, environmental literature, bentu wenxu

Raponganův román Oči Nebes (2012, přel. Šimonová, 2017) a Liao Hongjiho povídkový cyklus Rybáři (1996, přel. Krámská, 2017) budou představeny v širším kontextu "literatury bentu" (bentu wenxue; tj. místní taiwanské literatury) a s ní úzce související environmentální a oceánské literatury. Low-cost automated construction of vectorized high-definition road maps for intelligent vehicles

As intelligent vehicles (IVs) applications expand to large-scale and open road scenarios, vectorized high-definition maps (VHD maps) demonstrate greater potential than traditional metric maps. Despite substantial progress, the low-cost automated construction of VHD maps remains a serious challenge, which has slowed their practical application. In this dissertation, we tackle the issue of low-cost automated VHD map construction by enhancing Inverse Perspective Mapping (IPM) technology. We begin with a straightforward scenario, proposing a framework that improves IPM through pose-guided optimization, specifically addressing the automated creation of high-definition angular marking maps (HDAM maps). This framework not only enhances the accuracy of IPM-based mapping results but also refines the initial estimates of the IPM matrix. We then extend this framework to encompass more complex transportation scenarios, incorporating additional traffic elements such as common ground markings and lane lines. To illustrate the practical value of VHD maps in IV applications, we focus on the state estimation task of autonomous vehicles (AVs). We introduce a universal state correction system that relies solely on VHD maps, enabling AVs to achieve higher state estimation accuracy compared to traditional simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) methods. To optimize the use of VHD maps, we propose a query-based data exchange protocol, allowing multiple vehicles to share the same map data, aligning with the future trend of crowdsourced mapping. In summary, this dissertation advances the low-cost automated construction of VHD maps and demonstrates their extensive potential in IV applications, particularly through the example of AV state estimation. The development of low-cost automated VHD maps paves the way for their broader adoption. The practical application of VHD map in the field of AV proves that this map form is not merely theoretical but meets the current needs of IVs and is poised to replace traditional metric-based maps.</p

a new concurrent signature scheme based on the fapkc3s signature scheme

The concept of concurrent signatures was first introduced by Chen, Kudla and Paterson in Eurocrypt04, which allows two entities to produce two ambiguous signatures until an extra piece of information (called keystone) is released by one of the parties. O

    Model Oriented Evolutionary Redocumentation

    No full text
This paper discusses aspects of the redocumentation of legacy systems and proposes a model oriented approach to generating documentation, which is to produce models from existing systems and to generate the documentation based on the models. Since the software models can bridge the gap of a legacy system and an evolved system, the generated documentation covers all the information of system evolution. A prototype software redocumentation tool is presented to semi-automate this process and a case study of a system in IBM assembler is used for experiments with the approach and the prototype tool

Research and Implementation of local color in animation

Taking With Hui'an Women living in the south China's Fujian Province as an example, the thesis analysis the constitution of Hui'an woman's finery. Through the deeply scratch of color theory, we analysis the physiological reason which cause color in eyes. Study the mental acts created by physiological reason and color's collocation and symbolic meaning, the thesis brings up a viewpoint that use the native color element to enhance the art infectivity when we are creating animation. By strengthen the local color's colored activity, making the animation have a special effect visual reception, I make an animation named < seek > which tells a story about diligent and sapiential Hui'an woman. The article illustrate how I use local color to build up the characters; control the tempo of animation; sublime the theme of story, make a better effect of local color to manifest Hui'an women's spirit of laborious, brave and septennial. The innovative research of this thesis might be helpful to the animator when they are plant to create a cartoon with local characteristic and color style.Computer Science, Artificial IntelligenceComputer Science, CyberneticsEngineering, Electrical & ElectronicImaging Science & Photographic TechnologyEICPCI-S(ISTP)
