"Customer_Choice_Survey.csv": Local recommendations received on Google Local (Google Maps) for different customer locations in New York and San Francisco.
Each respondent was first asked some basic details.
Then 7 rounds of ranking questions were asked.
In each round, they were given a list of 10 restaurants with random combinations of rating, distance and cuisine. They were asked to rank top 5 one-by-one out of those 10 provided. This becomes evident from the question titles provided the file.

Design of analog front-end circuitry with drift removal and gain enhancement for a highly sensitive handheld impedance cytometer
We present a portable system for personalized blood cell counting consisting of a microfluidic impedance cytometer with portable analog readout feeding into an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The novel design of the analog readout, which consists of a lock-in-amplifier followed by a high-pass filter stage for subtraction of drift and DC offset, and a post-subtraction high gain stage, enables detection of particles and cells as small as 1 m in diameter, despite using a low-end 8 bit ADC. Applications such as personalized health monitoring require robust device operation and resilience to clogging, thus it is desirable to avoid using channels comparable in size to the particles being detected, thus requiring high levels of sensitivity. Despite using low-end off-the-shelf hardware, our sensing platform was capable of detecting changes in impedance as small as 0.032%, allowing detection of 3 m diameter particles in 300 m wide channel. The consecutive upward and downward signature of recorded peaks further helps to differentiate the signal from the noise floor. The performance of our system is comparable to that of a high-end bench-top impedance spectrometer under experimental condition. The novel analog design allowed for an instrument with a footprint of less than 80 cm2. The aim of this work was to demonstrate the potential of using microfluidic impedance spectroscopy for low-cost health monitoring. We demonstrated the utility of the platform technology towards cell counting, however our platform is broadly applicable to assaying wide panels of biomarkers including proteins, nucleic acids, and various cell types.M.S.Includes bibliographical referencesby Niloy Talukde

Abstract :
Brands produce content to engage with the audience continually and tend to maintain a set of human characteristics in their marketing campaigns. In this era of digital marketing, they need to create a lot of content to keep up the engagement with their audiences. However, such kind of content authoring at scale introduces challenges in maintaining consistency in a brand's messaging tone, which is very important from a brand's perspective to ensure a persistent impression for its customers and audiences. In this work, we quantify brand personality and formulate its linguistic features. We score text articles extracted from brand communications on five personality dimensions: sincerity, excitement, competence, ruggedness and sophistication, and show that a linear SVM model achieves a decent F1 score of . The linear SVM allows us to annotate a large set of data points free of any annotation error. We utilize this huge annotated dataset to characterize the notion of brand consistency, which is maintaining a company's targeted brand personality across time and over different content categories; we make certain interesting observations. As per our knowledge, this is the first study which investigates brand personality from the company's official websites, and that formulates and analyzes the notion of brand consistency on such a large scale.

International beverage brands like coca-cola, Pepsi, etc., and tobacco brands like British American Tobacco, Philip Morris International, etc. are doing great business in Bangladesh alongside local brands. Even though for business, these products are a must but when it comes to health issues these are such products that affect physically greatly. Matter of consciousness comes when the consumer is giving preference to such products more than essential consumables that are seen in Bangladesh. The paper discusses the consumer behavior of Bangladeshi consumers in choosing products in terms of health benefits. Discerning the proximate composition, anti-oxidative and prebiotic properties of de-oiled meals: Mustard and Rice-bran
The de-oiled meals are the less economically viable counterparts obtained from post oil-extraction process. These de-oiled meals are extremely rich constituents of various nutrients such as carbohydrate, protein, dietary fibre and minerals. However, in addition to the nutrition, it also has a significant content of various anti-nutritional factors that can be removed by simple processing methods. These de-oiled meals are largely discarded and disposed of as waste, leaving only a small portion to be used for feeding animals. The progressively increasing demand for alternative sources of naturally occurring feed stuffs necessitates utilisation of de-oiled meals to its full potential for feeding animals and fishes that are being raised/cultured for commercial objectives. In this paper, we have analysed the nutrient, anti-oxidants, as well as anti-nutritional composition of the two de-oiled meals mustard and rice-bran, followed by evaluation of their prebiotic properties with respect of Lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria. The de-oiled meals were good sources of protein, carbohydrate crude fibre, polyphenols and flavonoid. They were found to contain low amounts of phytates and tannates and demonstrated prebiotic activities comparable to that of commercial inulin. The de-oiled meals also inhibited amylase enzyme activity. The mustard meal had the highest amylase inhibitory activity i.e., 49.75%. Therefore, these edible oil industry wastes have a great potential to serve as a nutrient dense food for animals and their utilisation will help to reduce the burden on environment as well as meet the ensuing demand gap

Wealth from waste: Multifaceted yeast bio-synthesised sophorolipids using industrial waste by-products as substrate
41-56Sophorolipid biosurfactants are known for their versatile biological and physicochemical activities. This study explores
its production, characterization, and biological activities utilising, palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD), a hydrophobic substrate
derived from oil refinery waste by Starmerella bombicola, a native sophorolipid producing yeast. The sophorolipid yield is
significantly enhanced by using PFAD than that of a vegetable oil used as feedstock. The yields are 36.71 and 18.62 g/L for
PFAD and refined sunflower oil, respectively. The minimum surface tension with PFADSL (palm fatty acid distillate
derived sophorolipid) is 37.73 mN/m and the CMC value is 76 mg/mL. Emulsifying properties of PFADSL are found to be
54.32%, 59.45%, and 28.38% for waste frying sesame oil, refined sesame oil, and petrol, respectively. The PFADSL is
characterized using TLC, FTIR, and HPLC confirming the major component to be diacetylated lactonic sophorolipids (SLs)
(C18:1) consisting 15.4% acidic forms ofsophorolipids. PFADSL showed minimum inhibitory concentration values ranging
between 25 - 50 μg/mL against Proteus vulgaris, Shigella flexneri, Salmonella typhi, Vibrio cholerae, Staphylococcus
aureus, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Minimum Bactericidal Concentrations range from
300 to 500 μg/mL. SEM images show compromised membrane integrity against both gram-negative and positive bacteria.
PFADSL also confirmed its strong biofilm inhibitory and eradication capacity against tested organisms. These findings
reveal a noteworthy way of bio-converting oil industrial waste into a valuable product with potent surface lowering,
emulsifying, antibacterial, and antibiofilm ability which can be a gem to various fields like biomedical, agricultural,
pharmaceutical, cosmetics, nanotechnology, etc
Sesame lignans as promising anti-inflammatory agent: Exploring novel therapeutic avenues with in silico and computational approach
547-559Innumerable health-beneficial properties of sesame lignans like sesamol, sesamolin, sesamin and sesaminol make them
lucrative agents in the pharmaceutical industry. To specify the mode of action of these phytochemicals, detailed
computational physicochemical properties evaluation, and toxicity assessment (using free web servers and databases), as
well as binding interactions with physiological inflammatory effectors (such as COX-2, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6) by means of
rigid ligand-receptor docking (using software), have been thoroughly investigated. Interestingly, sesame lignans are
conformed to have drug-likeness, indicating their efficacy and suitability like established therapeutics. These bioactive
lignans possess drug-like attributes and effectively act as ligands in the present in-silico study. The basic pharmacokinetic
profile of these compounds has suggested non-polar solvents or delivery systems for them to enhance their bioavailability in
physiological systems. However, all the sesame lignans are toxic to the liver cells with a50 % lethal dose in the range of
500-1500 mg/kg. Toxicity study indicated minimum toxicity of lignans to normal cellular milieu, but noticeable cytotoxic
effects against several cancerous cell lines suggesting their anti-carcinogenic properties. Finally, the findings of the
molecular docking study have depicted a high affinity of these ligands for target proteins, even better than traditional
anti-inflammatory drugs- Indomethacin and Ibuprofen. The molecular interactions have represented sesaminol as the most
effective and Sesamol as the least potent ligand for target receptor whereas COX-2 seems to be the most vulnerable target.
The docking scores varied widely (-4.7 to -11.0 kcal/mol). The present in-silico approach is expected to provide valuable
resources for optimizing bioactive molecules as future-generation therapeutics before pre-clinical and clinical studies
Bacteria against bacteria: Green silver nanoparticle fabrication, antioxidant, anti-biofilm and antibacterial activities
411-424The current study focuses on the assessment of antioxidant and antibacterial properties of Ag nanoparticles (NP) synthesised using a pathogen Shigella flexneri 29508 in a green synthesis techinque. The synthesis has been confirmed with evolution of surface plasmon resonance band in the absor[ption spectrum of Ag-NPs. The nanosize, homogeneity, and high stability of the particles are confirmed by dynamic light scattering technique. Spherical morphology with an average particle size of 50 nm has been observed by TEM analysis. EDAX clearly demonstrated the presence of elemental silver. Using conventional tests, the antioxidant capacity of the greenly produced Ag-NPs has been assessed. The results showed considerable antioxidant potential, demonstrating the potential of nanoparticles to combat free radicals and guarding against oxidative stress. Additionally, a small number of clinically significant bacterial strains have been used to test the antibacterial effectiveness of the produced Ag-NPs. To assess the detrimental impact of the nanoparticles on bacterial development, Resazurin-based micro-dilution viability test, disc diffusion, and spread plate assay techniques for MIC and MBC determination have been used. The results showed that the tested bacterial infections are resistant to a variety of powerful antibacterial agents in various degrees. Additionally, two biofilm-forming bacterial strains have been used to test the biosynthesized Ag-NPs' biofilm inhibitory and eradicating activities, and the findings demonstrated its powerful anti-biofilm potential. The success of the green synthesis of Ag-NPs utilizing bacteria is highlighted in this study, and their antioxidant, antibacterial, and antibiofilm properties are discussed
