Measuring and analyzing German and Spanish customer satisfaction of using the iPhone 4S Mobile Cloud service
This paper presents the customer satisfaction analysis for measuring popularity in the Mobile Cloud, which is an emerging area in the Cloud and Big Data Computing. Organizational Sustainability Modeling (OSM) is the proposed method used in this research. The twelve-month of German and Spanish consumer data are used for the analysis to investigate the return and risk status associated with the ratings of customer satisfaction in the iPhone 4S Mobile Cloud services. Results show that there is a decline in the satisfaction ratings in Germany and Spain due to economic downturn and competitions in the market, which support our hypothesis. Key outputs have been explained and they confirm that all analysis and interpretations fulfill the criteria for OSM. The use of statistical and visualization method proposed by OSM can expose unexploited data and allows the stakeholders to understand the status of return and risk of their Cloud strategies easier than the use of other data analysis
A 2 h periodic variation in the low-mass X-ray binary Ser X-1
Spectroscopy of the low-mass X-ray binary Ser X-1 using the Gran Telescopio Canarias have revealed a ?2 h periodic variability that is present in the three strongest emission lines. We tentatively interpret this variability as due to orbital motion, making it the first indication of the orbital period of Ser X-1. Together with the fact that the emission lines are remarkably narrow, but still resolved, we show that a main-sequence K dwarf together with a canonical 1.4 M? neutron star gives a good description of the system. In this scenario, the most likely place for the emission lines to arise is the accretion disc, instead of a localized region in the binary (such as the irradiated surface or the stream-impact point), and their narrowness is due instead to the low inclination (?10°) of Ser X-1

Search for new hadronic decays of h c and observation of h c → p p ¯ η
Abstract A search for the hadronic decays of the h c meson to the final states p p ¯ π + π − π 0, p p ¯ η , and p p ¯ π 0 via the process ψ(3686) → π 0 h c is performed using (4.48 ± 0.03) × 108 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector. The decay channel h c → p p ¯ η is observed for the first time with a significance greater than 5σ and a branching fraction of (6.41 ± 1.74 ± 0.53 ± 1.00) × 10 −4, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and that from the branching fraction of ψ(3686) → π 0 h c . Strong evidence for the decay h c → p p ¯ π + π − π 0 is found with a significance of 4.9σ and a branching fraction of (3.84 ± 0.83 ± 0.69 ± 0.58) × 10 −3. The significances include systematic uncertainties. No clear signal of the decay h c → p p ¯ π 0 is found, and an upper limit of 6.59 × 10 −4 on its branching fraction is set at the 90% confidence level
Biotransformation of 1,2,3-Tri- and 1,2,3,4,7,8-hexachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin by Sphingomonas wittichii strain RW1
Sphingomonas wittichii RW1 is able to catabolize 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (H. B. Hong, Y. S. Chang, I. H. Nam, P. Fortnagel, and S. Schmidt, Appl. Environ. Microbiol. 68:2584-2588, 2002). Here we demonstrate the aerobic bacterial catabolism of the ubiquitous toxic diaryl ether pollutant 1,2,3,4,7,8-hexachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin by this strain. The products of this biotransformation were identified as tetrachlorocatechol and 2-methoxy-3,4,5,6-tetrachlorophenol by comparing mass spectra recorded before and after n-butylboronate and NO-bis(trimethylsilyl)-trifluoroacetamide derivatization with those of authentic compounds. Additional experiments showed that the less-chlorinated 1,2,3,7,8-pentachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin was not transformed by the strain RW1. The importance of substitution patterns for the degradability of individual congeners was illustrated by the fact that the 1,2,3-trichlorodibenzo-p-dioxin was catabolized to yield 3,4,5-trichlorocatechol, whereas the 2,3,7-trichlorodibenzo-p-dioxin was not attacked.open1142sciescopu
