Trigonometric approximation by Nörlund type means in -norm
summary:We show that the same degree of approximation as in the theorems proved by L. Leindler [Trigonometric approximation in -norm, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 302 (2005), 129--136] and P. Chandra [Trigonometric approximation of functions in -norm, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 275 (2002), 13--26] is valid for a more general class of lower triangular matrices. We also prove that these theorems are true under weakened assumptions

TypeWriter: Neural Type Prediction with Search-Based Validation
Maintaining large code bases written in dynamically typed languages, such as JavaScript or Python, can be challenging due to the absence of type annotations: simple data compatibility errors proliferate, IDE support is limited, and APIs are hard to comprehend. Recent work attempts to address those issues through either static type inference or probabilistic type prediction. Unfortunately, static type inference for dynamic languages is inherently limited, while probabilistic approaches suffer from imprecision. This paper presents TypeWriter, the first combination of probabilistic type prediction with search-based refinement of predicted types. TypeWriter’s predictor learns to infer the return and argument types for functions from partially annotated code bases by combining the natural language properties of code with programming language-level information. To validate predicted types, TypeWriter invokes a gradual type checker with different combinations of the predicted types, while navigating the space of possible type combinations in a feedback-directed manner. We implement the TypeWriter approach for Python and evaluate it on two code corpora: a multi-million line code base at Facebook and a collection of 1,137 popular open-source projects. We show that TypeWriter’s type predictor achieves an F1 score of 0.64 (0.79) in the top-1 (top-5) predictions for return types, and 0.57 (0.80) for argument types, which clearly outperforms prior type prediction models. By combining predictions with search-based validation, TypeWriter can fully annotate between 14% to 44% of the files in a randomly selected corpus, while ensuring type correctness. A comparison with a static type inference tool shows that TypeWriter adds many more non-trivial types. TypeWriter currently suggests types to developers at Facebook and several thousands of types have already been accepted with minimal changes.Software Engineerin
Moving toward <i>prem Nagar</i>: An Intimate Genealogy of the “City of Love” And the Lyrical Worlds of Hindustani Film Songs
By charting a genealogy of prem nagar in this article, from its literary antecedents through its cinematic iterations, the author shows that the referent for prem nagar in film songs is derived from a generalized experience of transit to and within the modern-industrial city on the one hand, and from the anticipations of romantic love in urban spaces, on the other; and, that the experience of popular cinema becomes inextricable from both. In other words, as Hindustani film songs incorporated the premodern, pastoral literary trope of prem nagar, this trope—the city of love—became reconfigured as an epithet for the romantic pleasure spaces of motion pictures and the milieu of urban life in which cinema was embedded. Those in search of the contemporary city of love (and the author will show that the prem nagar enters cinema as an ephemeral, miragelike destination for seekers who remain in perpetual transit) emerge as a collective of cinephiles, who are willfully entranced by the repetitious, rapturous songs—the seductive pleasures and utopian dreams—of Hindi popular cinema.</jats:p
Analisis terhadap pembatalan merek serba cantik antara kishin L. Awandi dengan Prem L. Bharwani (putusan pengadilan niaga Nomor 53/Merek/ 2008/PN.Niaga.JKT.PST)

Bharwani (Putusan Pengadilan Niaga Nomor: 53/ MEREK/2008/PN.NIAGA.JKT.PST.)?. F. Daftar Acuan : 31 (1980-2010) G. Pembimbing : FX. Discourses shaping the language-in-education policy and foreign language education in Nepal: An intersectional perspective
Language policy and planning in Nepal has been contested due to the co-existence of multiple contradictory discourses concerning teaching and learning of local, national, foreign, and international languages. Recently a multilingual policy was issued to create space for the once-banned ethnic/indigenous languages in public schooling, further complexifying the landscape. A few studies have paid attention to teaching and learning of the lesser taught ethnic/indigenous and foreign languages; however, what discursive orientations have contributed towards enabling (or constraining) the use of such languages in education and how have yet to receive scholarly attention. Framed by the perspectives of the intersectionality of discourses, and drawing on in-depth interviews with policymakers, headteachers, teachers, students, and their parents of five schools of Nepal, this paper concludes that the interplay between broader discourses such as globalisation, neoliberal marketisation and nationalism has played a significant role in shaping language policy decisions and localised practice of language(s). It also reveals that the spaces for ethnic/indigenous languages in education are delimited, in preference of English, Nepali, and other emerging foreign languages, leading to their further marginalisation. Such trends diminish the potential use of lesser taught languages, threatening Nepal’s multilingual education policy towards sustaining existing linguistic diversity. Copyright © 2021 The Author(s)
