Efficient transmit power allocation with partial feedback for closed-loop SQRD based V-BLAST systems
This letter proposes an efficient transmit power allocation using partial channel information feedback for the closed-loop sorted QR decomposition (SQRD) based V-BLAST systems. For the feedback information, the positive real-valued diagonal elements of R are forwarded to the transmitter. With the proposed transmit power allocation that is numerically derived by the Lagrange optimization method, the bit error rate performance of the system can be remarkably improved compare to the conventional open-loop SQRD based V-BLAST systems without increasing the receiver complexity

This master thesis deals with the purchase and sale process in Škoda JS company. The aim of this work is to assess whether the setting of the purchase and sale process is met by the company also within a real business case, in compliance with set controls, and whether the degree of perfect delivery is sufficient. In the introduction, the author specifies the basic terms: logistics, logistic chain, customer benefits, information systems in logistics, buying and selling. The following chapter introduces Škoda JS company, including the sphere of its entrepreneurial activity. This chapter also deals with the nuclear power industry. In the crucial chapter, the author describes the process of purchase and sale in Škoda JS company and compares it with a real business case. In conclusion, the author evaluates discrepancies and suggests recommendations to avoid them

Thermal and electrochemical properties of ionic liquids based on N-methyl-N-alkyl morpholinium cations
A series of ionic liquids based on morpholinium cations were prepared. N-alkyl-N-methylmorpholinium bromide, N-alkyl-N-methylmorpholinium tetrafluoroborate, N-alk-yl-N-methylmorpholinium hexafluorophosphate and N-alkyl-N-methylmorpholinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide were synthesized, and then thermal and electrochemical properties of prepared ionic liquids were measured. These morpholinium salts were found to be thermally stable near 673 K and electrochemically stable up to 6 V at room temperature. In conclusion, these new series of morpholinium based ILs might be potential candidates for electrolytes in batteries and other electrolytic devices.This work was supported by the Brain Korea 21 Project and also

A Low-Barrier Hydrogen Bond Playing an Important Role in the Enzyme Mechanism of delta-5-3-Ketosteroid Isomerase
Baculoviral polyhedrin-Bacillus thuringiensis toxin fusion protein: A protein-based bio-insecticide expressed in Escherichia coli
Previously, we found that baculoviral polyhedrin (Polh) used as a fusion partner for recombinant expression in Escherichia coli showed almost the same characteristics (rapid solubilization under alkaline conditions and specific degradation by specific alkaline proteases in insect midgut) as the native baculoviral Polh, and formed easily isolatable inclusion bodies. Here, Polh derived from the Autographa californica nuclear polyhedrosis virus (AcNPV) was fused with a Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) toxin protein (truncated Cry1Ac having toxin region as a model Bt toxin) for the novel generation of a new bio-insecticide. The Polh-Cry1Ac fusion protein (similar to 99 kDa) was highly expressed (3.6-fold induction as compared to E. coli-derived single Cry1Ac (similar to 68 kDa)) as an insoluble inclusion body fraction in E. coli. Trypsin and alpha-chymotrypsin, which have similar properties to the insect midgut alkaline proteases, rapidly degraded the Polh portion in vitro, leaving only the toxic Cry1Ac protein behind. In vivo, the Polh-Cry1Ac fusion protein showed high insecticidal activity against the pest, Plutella xylostella. Because this novel bio-insecticide employs E. coli as the host, mass production at a low cost should be possible. Size Effects on the Stabilization and Growth of Tetragonal ZrO2 Crystallites in a Nanotubular Structure
The size effects on the stabilization of ZrO2 polymorphs in nanoscale and the growth behavior of their crystallites in 1-D nanotubular structures were investigated. Polycrystalline nanotubular structures of ZrO2 with tetragonal nanocrystallites were fabricated using nanoporous polycarbonate (PC) templates and atomic layer deposition (ALD). The as-prepared ZrO2 nanotubes showed polycrystalline structures of stabilized tetragonal polymorphs at room temperature. The wall thickness of the ZrO2 nanotubes was well controlled by the number of ALD cycles. Faster growth of the tetragonal nanocrystallites was observed in the nanotubes with a 50 nm outer diameter, than those of 200 nm. Isolation, identification and complete genome sequence analysis of a strain of foot-and-mouth disease virus serotype Asia1 from pigs in southwest of China
Abstract Backgroud Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) serotype Asia1 generally infects cattle and sheep, while its infection of pigs is rarely reported. In 2005-2007, FMD outbreaks caused by Asia1 type occurred in many regions of China, as well as some parts of East Asia countries. During the outbreaks, there was not any report that pigs were found to be clinically infected. Results In this study, a strain of FMDV that isolated from pigs was identified as serotype Asia1, and designated as "Asia1/WHN/CHA/06". To investigate the genomic feature of the strain, complete genome of Asia1/WHN/CHA/06 was sequenced and compared with sequences of other FMDVs by phylogenetic and recombination analysis. The complete genome of Asia1/WHN/CHA/06 was 8161 nucleotides (nt) in length, and was closer to JS/CHA/05 than to all other strains. Potential recombination events associated with Asia1/WHN/CHA/06 were found between JS/CHA/05 and HNK/CHA/05 strains with partial 3B and 3C fragments. Conclusion This is the first report of the isolation and identification of a strain of FMDV type Asia1 from naturally infected pigs. The Asia1/WHN/CHA/06 strain may evolve from the recombination of JS/CHA/05 and HNK/CHA/05 strains.</p
