Light weight encryption algorithms for wireless body area networks
Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) emerges as a major network in today’s world. WBAN comprise of sensors used for applications like health monitoring, military, etc. These sensors are embedded within or out of the body. Security is a major factor in WBAN’s and hence it is essential to provide security for patient’s data. So we study about various encryption algorithms in this paper to provide security. The WBAN comprise of body sensors in which the energy resources are limited and since consumption of energy will be more it is essential to go for light weight algorithms to provide security and decrease energy consumption. </jats:p

VALIDATED UV SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR ESTIMATION OF GEMCITABINE IN BULK AND DOSAGE FORM
Objective: The objective of the present work was to develop and validate a novel, specific, precise and reliable method for estimation of gemcitabine hydrochloride in bulk and polymeric nanoparticles using UV-visible spectroscopy method.
Methods: The UV-Visible spectrophotometric determination was performed with double beam Systronics UV-visible spectrophotometer; model UV-2201 (India). The proposed methods were validated for various parameters like linearity, precision, accuracy, robustness, ruggedness, detection, quantification limits, and formulation analysis as per international conference on harmonization (ICH) guidelines.
Results: The method was based on measurement of absorbance at wavelength maxima i.e. 260 nm, λmax of the drug in distilled water. The method obeyed Beer Lambert’s law in the concentration range of 5-30 µg/ml and R2-value was found to be 0.999. Moreover, the % drug recovered from formulation was found to be 99.1%.
Conclusion: According to results, the currently developed method shows compliance with acceptance criteria with Q2 (R1) and international conference on harmonization (2005) guidelines, because the % RSD was found to be less than 2%. The developed method was simple, accurate and précised.

Evidence of potential impacts of a nutrition-sensitive agroecology program in Andhra Pradesh, India, on dietary diversity, nutritional status, and child development
Introduction While a number of studies have examined the nutritional impacts of agroecological interventions, few have examined impacts on child development, maternal and child anemia, and men’s dietary diversity. Moreover, there have been few such evaluations at scale. We evaluated the impact of a large-scale, multi-component food-based nutrition intervention involving homestead food production, nutrition counselling, cooking demonstrations, and crop planning exercises.
Methods A cross-sectional assessment was conducted in 2021–2022 of 50 intervention villages where the nutrition-sensitive agroecology program had been implemented since 2018 and 79 control villages where only the agroecology program had been implemented. Data on self-reported dietary intake, caregiver-reported early child development, anthropometric measurements, and hemoglobin concentrations were collected using standardized procedures by trained Nutrition Farming Fellows, who were also responsible for implementing the program.
Results A sample of 3,511 households (1,121 intervention and 2,390 control) participated in the survey. Dietary diversity scores (DDS) among women and men were mean (SD) 6.53 (±1.62) and 6.16 (±1.65), respectively, in intervention villages and 5.81 (±1.58) and 5.39 (±1.61), respectively, in control villages (p<0.01). DDS among children 6–24 months of age in intervention and control villages was 2.99 (±1.52) and 2.73 (±1.62), respectively (p<0.01). Children <2 years of age were less likely to be anemic in intervention versus control villages (59% versus 69%, p<0.01). Children 18–35 months age in intervention villages had higher child development scores than children in control villages (all p<0.05).

Evaluation of Genetic Diversity and Marker Trait Association for Yield and Fiber Quality-Related Traits in Upland Cotton
Cotton is the most extensively grown non-food crop and its lint serves as a source for textile industries. The diversity in upland cotton (G. hirsutum L.) varieties was low. Hence, genetic diversity and marker trait associations were performed in twenty cotton genotypes. Rasi Magic, Platinum, LHBT 2, LHBT 6 and LHBT 7 recorded highest seed and lint yield. Based on PCA, LHBT 6 and LHBT 7 had higher upper half mean fiber length, uniformity index, fiber strength; Rasi Magic and LHBT 2 had high yield. Seed cotton yield (SCY) showed significantly positive association with number of bolls (NB), number of sympodial branches (NSP), boll weight (BW), ginning out turn (GOT) and plant height (PH). The average polymorphic information content and Shannon’s diversity index value were 0.66 and 1.4 per SSR marker locus respectively. Six clusters and six subpopulation groups were observed; LHBT 16 and LHBT 7 were grouped near checks showing genetic similarity. Association study identified high significant associations in markers, BNL1122 (NB), BNL1227 (NB, BW, Plot yield (PY), SCY, Lint yield (LY)), DPL0852 (BW, PH), JESPR204 (Number of Monopodia), MGHES0012 (Lint index (LI), NB, BW, PY), MGHES0021 (SCY), MGHES0036 (NSP, GOT, LY), MGHES0060 (NSP), MUSS162 (LI) and MUSS193 (LI)
