Fashioning femininities, making masculinities: gender, performance, and lived experience in Java, Indonesia
What can the lived experiences of performing artists in Java, Indonesia tell us about the production and negotiation of gender and local identity?
Drawing from ethnographic fieldwork conducted in Malang, East Java, author Christina Sunardi demonstrates ways individual performers have navigated cultural norms of masculinity and femininity to produce gender and place-based identity on- and offstage. Focusing on dancers who have participated in the performance of cross-gender dance, Fashioning Femininities, Making Masculinities provides insight into the lived experiences of men and waria performing female-style dance and women performing male-style dance.
Exploring onstage-offstage gender negotiations, gender fluidity, gender pluralism, and spirituality, this book is ideal reading for students of Gender and Sexuality Studies, Ethnomusicology, Dance Studies, Performance Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, and Cultural Anthropology
Health Risk Analysis Due To PM10 and PM2.5 Exposure in Ambient Air in Bandung Regency
This study aims to identify and analyze non-carcinogenic health risks posed by Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5) exposure in Bandung Regency. The region is experiencing increased emissions of air pollutants due to rapid economic and population growth, especially in industrial and traffic-intensive areas. The study was conducted using the Environmental Health Risk Analysis (EHRA) technique to estimate the public health risks due to PM10 and PM2.5 exposure. Data were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and direct measurements for PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations. The results showed that the average concentrations of PM10 and PM2.5 in the industrial area of Soreang-Kopo highway were higher (61 μg/m³ for PM10 and 46 μg/m³ for PM2.5) compared to the non-industrial area of Soreang-Ciwidey highway (30 μg/m³ for PM10 and 20 μg/m³ for PM2.5), but still below the quality standards set by regulation, PP RI No. 22 of 2021 which are 55 μg/m³ for PM2.5 and 75 μg/m³ for PM10. The highest level of health risk or RQ for PM10 and PM2.5 is 0.50 so it is declared safe (RQ<1), but even so there are 4 respondents who show RQ values>1, so further risk management is needed such as reducing pollutant concentrations, exposure time, and exposure frequency

Studi Eksperimental Penukar Kalor Pipa Ganda Helical Pada Sistem Refrigerasi Joule-Thomson
The Joule-Thomson refrigeration system currently is being developed for cryogenic application to substitute Linde-Hampson refrigeration system. The advanted of the Joule-Thomson refrigeration system is lower operating pressure than the Linde-Hampson refrigeration system. The Joule-Thomson refrigeration system works in pressure about 20 bar, while the Linde-Hampson refrigeration system in about 200 bar. To get the desire cryogenic temperature, in the Joule-Thomson refrigeration system, ussually is used mixed refrigerants, whereas in this investigation is only used one refrigerant, that is R-22. The one of the Joule-Thomson refrigeration system performance parameters is heat exchanger effectiveness ( ). To know the effect of diameter size to the effectiveness, heat transfer coefficient and Joule- Thomson cycle performance, in this research a helical double pipe heat exchanger is used in three variations of coil size diameter, those are : 18,5 cm, 22 cm and 27 cm of coil diameter size. The evaporator is investigated in two variation, such as : insulated tube and bare tube. The results are : the highest of effectiveness ( ) of heat exchanger is 88 % at the smallest coils diameter (18,5 cm), the highest overall heat transfer coefficient (U) is 431 W/m2.K at the smallest coils diameter (18,5 cm).
The highest COP actual and refrigeration efficiency are 3,15 and 73,3 % both are at the widest coils diameter (27 cm)
STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL PENUKAR KALOR PIPA GANDA HELICAL PADA SISTEM REFRIGERASI JOULE-THOMSON
The Joule Thomson (J-T) refrigeration system currently is being developed
for cryogenic application to substitute Linde Hampson (L-H) refrigeration system.
The advantage of the J-T refrigeration system is lower operating pressure than the
L-H refrigeration system. The J-T refrigeration system works in pressure about 20
bar, while the L-H refrigeration system in about 200 bar. To get the desire cryogenic
temperature, in the J-T refrigeration system, usually is used mixed refrigerants,
whereas in this investigation is only used one refrigerant, that is R-22.
The one of the J-T refrigeration system performance parameters is heat
exchanger effectiveness (ε). To know the effect of diameter size and gap coils to the
heat exchanger effectiveness, heat transfer coefficient and J-T cycle performance, in
this research a helical double pipe heat exchanger is used in three variation of coils
size diameter and their gaps or pitches, those are : 0 mm, 5 mm and 8 mm of gaps
and 18.5 cm, 22 cm and 27 cm of coils diameter size.
The results are: the highest of effectiveness ( ε ) of heat exchanger is 88 %
at the smallest coils diameter (18.5 cm) and 5 mm of coil gap, the highest overall
heat transfer coefficient (U) is 431W/m2 K at the smallest coils diameter (18.5 cm)
and 8 mm of coil gap. The highest COP actual and refrigeration efficiency are 3, 15
and 73,3 % both are at the widest coils diameter (27 cm) either in 5 mm and 8 mm
of gaps respectively
OPTIMIZATION AND PREDICTION OF CENTRAL AC SYSTEM PERFORMANCE WITH RESPONSE SURFACE METHODOLOGY (RSM) MODELING
Optimizing AC system performance is important to optimize energy consumption, especially at partial load. The aim of this research is to obtain a performance model of the central AC system based on its operational conditions which include environmental air conditions, heat load conditions and other operational parameters, so that the performance of the AC system can be optimized which includes cooling capacity, power consumption and energy efficiency ratio. Data is obtained by experiment, then analyzed by Response Surface Methodology (RSM) to obtain optimal system performance. This research resulted in models of AC performance with coefficient of correlation (R2) of 0.9745, 0.2041 and 0.8965 for cooling capacity, power consumption and EER respectively. By analysis of varians for models, it is obtained that Model F-values are 9920.83, 313.45, and 2245.59 for cooling capacity, power and EER respectively, and implied that the models are significant. The Adequate precision ratios were 1078.33, 93.08, and 344.32 for those parameters respectively, and indicated the adequate signals. The optimum results obtained were a cooling capacity of 46.7 kW, compressor power consumption of 4.48 kW, and an energy efficiency ratio of 8.5.
