Russell Carter Interview
Russell Carter (Class of 1983) was interviewed by Sriya Reddy on September 30, 2020 via the Zoom internet-based video conferencing software. Mr. Carter came to SMU on a football scholarship and also ran track. He majored in History. Carter discusses the fond memories of being a student athlete at SMU during the 1980s and the family-like environment that developed amongst the different sports teams and athletes. He gives thanks to the support of the athletic department in obtaining his degree and being successful during his time at SMU. Following graduation Carter played professional football and worked with a variety of companies before ultimately working as a flight attendant with Southwest Airlines in Dallas
