Les trois réécritures du « Petit Chaperon rouge » d’Angela Carter en français : tours et détours
Ce texte propose l'analyse de trois réécritures de contes tirées du recueil The Bloody Chamber d'Angela Carter et de leurs traductions françaises par Jacqueline Huet dans La Compagnie des loups. Il aborde la mise en recueil et le titre des ouvrages ainsi que les divergences dans la séquence des contes qui encouragent des lectures différentes ; il propose ensuite une analyse comparative des textes anglais et de leurs traductions, afin de montrer comment la traduction contribue à orienter la réception du recueil de Carter par un public francophone. La version française propose de nouvelles pistes interprétatives qui « rapatrient » les contes dans la tradition littéraire française. Elle apporte également des modifications stylistiques qui s'accordent avec cette tradition mais qui atténuent certains choix marqués et variations de style caractéristiques de l'œuvre de Carter. Enfin, la nouvelle composition offerte par la version française confère aux textes une tonalité sombre, qui contraste fortement avec celle, optimiste et émancipatrice, de The Bloody Chamber
