Co-Responsible Leadership and Partnership
In Chapter 11, Dr Rhiannon Lloyd and Professor Brigid Carroll highlight the need for co-responsible leadership and partnership based on social connection theory. This is illustrated by their detailed examination of the field-breaking case of the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change, which preceded the Glasgow Summit on this issue in 2021. For all of its ongoing failures, they argue it was successful in showcasing the benefits of co-responsible leadership. This impactful leadership approach, which they note shifts the emphasis toward communication, shared responsibility and collective problem solving, is very central to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
