Data set: Average daily minimum temperature in January and February in Corsica
No full textRaster providing the average of the daily minimum temperature in Celsius degrees over January and February in Corsica from 1995 to 2003 with a 0.016667x0.0166671 resolution in latitude and longitude.
Construction: This raster was constructed from the freely available database (PVGIS © European Communities, 2001-2008) providing, in particular, monthly averages of the daily minimum temperature reconstructed over a grid with 11km spatial resolution (Huld et al., 2006). These monthly averages correspond to the period 1995-2003 and were used by Abboud et al. (2019, 2020) to model Xylella fastidious dynamics in South Corsica.

Candy elasticity: Halloween experiments on public political statements

The final version is available from Wiley via the DOI in this record.We conducted experiments during trick-or-treating on Halloween in a predominantly liberal neighborhood in the weeks preceding the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections. We decorated one side of a house porch with McCain material in 2008 (Romney material in 2012) and the other side with Obama material. Children were asked to choose a side, with half receiving the same candy on either side and half receiving more candy to go to the McCain/Romney side. This yields a “candy elasticity” of children's political support. Results vary by age: children ages nine and older were two to three times more likely to choose the Republican candidate when offered double candy for voting Republican compared to when offered equal candy, whereas children ages eight and under were particularly sticky and did not waver in their choice of candidate despite the offer of double candy

Hal ini dikarenakan pengaturan mengenai PHK karena alasan mendesak masih minim dan hanya terdapat dalam SE Menakertrans. Adapun salah satu contoh kasus yang menunjukan adanya ketidakjelasan mengenai PHK karena alasan mendesak adalah kasus antara PT Bussan Auto Finance melawan Yosef Gautama (Putusan Nomor 416 K/Pdt.Sus-PHI/2013). Bagaimana pemutusan hubungan kerja karena alasan mendesak ditinjau dari UU Ketenagakerjaan? Bagaimana ketentuan pengaturan besaran uang pembayaran PHK/termination pay yang harus dibayarkan oleh pengusaha kepada pekerja yang di PHK karena alasan mendesak? Penulis meneliti masalah tersebut menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif yang didukung studi pustaka dan wawancara. Data penelitian memperlihatkan belum jelasnya pengaturan mengenai PHK karena alasan mendesak memberikan kesempatan kepada para pihak untuk menafsirkan sendiri PHK karena alasan mendesak tersebut. Namun memang penafsiran inilah yang kemudian menyebabkan banyak interpretasi dan ketidakpastian hukum. Besaran uang pembayaran PHK terhadap pekerja yang di PHK karena alasan mendesak juga belum diatur secara rinci. Saran penulis kedepannya ketentuan mengenai PHK karena alasan mendesak dapat diatur dalam peraturan perundang-undangan yang lebih rinci dan jelas sehingga lebih memiliki daya mengikat.
