    Parole" This essay is part of collective book on methodological aspects and actual problems in Anthropological Research: "La ricerca sul campo in antropologia. Oggetti e metodi" (C. Pennacini ed.). “Word” is a concept assumed from the point of view of the anthropological fieldresearcher in anthropology during the fieldwork and the native point of view. The focus is on the principle that each “word” challanges the researcher awareness. The author pays attention to the history of collections of “words” of other languages /cultures under the perspective of word lists, glossaries, dictionaries that should be understood as “bridges” between the words of the researchers and those of the alterity she is facing. There are theories and methods in the collection of words, or “key” words, relevant for each culture. After all, what are “words”? In Western reflexion understanding what a “word” is for speakers of other languages is a revealing challange. One the very early semantic fields in anthropology was focussing on the collection of kinship terminologies. From that area many other fields have been investigated, leading to a more complex understanding of the interwoven cultural and linguistic intepretative and methodological problems. In every part and aspect of fieldwork on language in culture the researcher must keep a correct, ethical and cultural behaviour, above all be open to the demands of the communities as for his recollection of data.     The book is part is part of a project aiming at Huave/ombeayiüts language (spoken in San Mateo del Mar, Oaxaca, Mexico) socio-cultural continuity. The project is supported by the Salus Mundi Foundation and INALI (Instituto Nacional de Lenguas Indigenas). The book was thought as a way to encourage female practices of reading and writing in her own Indigenous language. The content is focused on female knowledge and practices of food preparations, with the purpuses of enhancing the socio-cultural and economic importance of everyday life female work, strengthening their identity. The book presents bilingual texts Huave/Spanish for more than 120 recepies. All the texts are original female oral productions on cultural transmission of knowledge on plants, animals, woods, and technics for preparation of foods and their recepies. It includes an extensive glossary of specialized terminology of food preparation, of taste and mell, edible plants from the bush. More than 25 women contributed to the recollection of recepies. The book was issued together with a CD of records of women reading the texts of their recepies, to motivate other women to read and write. In 2010 the book was distributed in San Mateo, in the context of a specially called communal assembly, where all the local authorities were present, together with a large people's participation. Subsequently, the book was distributed to the local first and second level schools so that at present it is available in most of San Mateo's residences. INALI distributed the book in others indigenous commuinities and Academic Institutions of Mexico.     All'odierna rafforzata affermazione delle "soggettività" nel mondo euroamericano, l'antropologia non è del tutto estranea, prestando la propria riflessione teorica alla legittimazione di un soggetivismo che finisce per essere solipsistico e negare la comunicazione interculturale. Certe derive autoreferenziali del pensiero post-moderno e una esasperata interpretazione delle storie di vita, hanno generato un "contagio" che ha pervaso una moltitudine di forme di rappresentazioni del sé nella gran parte degli ambiti dell'azione di uomini e donne. Ciò ha generato una vera e propria "industria" del sé che inghiotte e condanna tutti a nuove forme di voyerismo e solitudini comunicative. Ho inteso riflettere a mo' di rassegna su alcuni di questi ambiti dove il "contagio" ha avuto maggiore successo: dall'uso politico dello story telling, alle "filosofie" che hanno fatto nascere alcuni dei social network, alla raccolta di storie di vita contenute in un minuto, all'uso dei cellulari e dei programmi televisi, ecc. Nella gran parte delle società umane, non ancora del tutto inghiottite da questa "industria", si esplicitano sensi e usi del sé "diversi" (porto l'esempio con il quale ho più vissuto e mi sono misurata nel uotidiano) nei confronti dei quali l'antropologia dovrebbe continuare a prestare attenzione, sfidarne la comprensione ed assumerli come "manifesti" alternativi in contrasto alle nuove devastanti forme di colonizzazione del sé, e sostenere invece il diritto al multiculturalismo e alla diversità
