No full textIl volume espone il case history della serie televisiva UFO, trasmessa dall’emittente privata britannica ITV a partire dal settembre del 1970. La rassegna delle linee teoriche che si sono utilizzate introduce all’analisi del Format, la cui disamina della struttura diegetica e socio-concettuale ha attinto alle argomentazioni della trattatistica più consultata (Biondi, 1996; Cull, 2006 & 2009; Innocenti, Pescatore, 2008; Hutchings, 2011). Il focus interpretativo si è servito di metodi e riflessioni, propri della Sociologia della cultura e della Sociologia della comunicazione di massa. L’analisi è comprensiva del background socio-politico, contemporaneo alla creazione di Sylvia e Gerry Anderson. Si sono così evidenziati i contributi sociali ed inter-mediali provenienti dalle mode del periodo (in particolare londinesi), di considerevole interesse per lo sviluppo tematico della fiction. Contributi in tal senso sono derivati dai paradigmi ermeneutici, socio-tecnici, propri dei Media e Film studies, sensibili a porre ipotesi di significato sull’opera, per quanto non conclusive, nè univoche (Hutchings, 2011
The Problem of Complexity in Luhmann's Work: The Neo-Humanistic Perspective
No full textNiklas Luhmann was an author who combined the history of European
sociology with originality. Today it is difficult to determine which aspect
of his paradigm left a deeper mark. His contribution to the conceptualization
of some processes—such as the autopoiesis of the social system and the
notion, now perhaps overused, of self-referentiality—maintains significant
topicality. His collaboration (even if in conflict) with Frankfurt School’s
Habermas on the outcomes of technology in social systems attests to the
ideological neutrality of his systemic approach.
This paper will deal with the sociological context in which Luhmann’s
research has been developed and disseminated. The work focuses on
specific characteristics of Luhmann’s themes: the concept of system; the
behaviorist dynamics of the first and second orders; the structure of
contingency (both single and double); and the fundamental problems of
complexity
